The Space:
Black Forest Hide Away by Tiny Away sits in a bushland pocket with no roads or neighbours in sight. Wake up to the sounds of native birds, the occasional visit from kangaroos by 3-quiet dams, and koalas lounging in tall gums as the sun rises over your private retreat.
While it feels a world away, the farm stay is just 50 minutes from Melbourne and minutes from Macedon, perfectly placed to explore Hanging Rock, Mount Macedon, Camel’s Hump, and the seasonal autumnal colours of Honour Avenue. Wander Forest Glade Gardens or stay in and soak up the magic all around you.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the tiny home and the outdoor area around it, including everything north of the buildings. Please note, the sheds, main house, and yard are not accessible.

Getting Around:
By Car:
- About 40 minutes from Melbourne
- Accessible by any vehicle
- 4WDs have a separate driveway for easier access
By Public Transport:
- Take a train to Macedon Station
- 20-minute walk from the station to the property
- 20-minute walk to Macedon Township
- Local taxi service is available for convenience
By Flight:
- Fly into Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine)
- From the airport, drive about 35 minutes to the property or arrange a transfer
Other Things to Note:
- A gas BBQ grill is available
- The property is suitable for kids
- Cats Aren’t Allowed to Protect Local Birdlife
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Smoking is allowed in designated areas of the property
- Please note that more extended stays or late check-outs will incur an extra charge
- Mobile reception has strong signals for Telstra and Optus; Other providers may have limited signal
- There’s plenty of wood and sticks around the bush. Feel free to gather what you need for firewood
- Pets are allowed, with a maximum of 2 per stay. They must be leashed, and a fee is collected at check-in. The full pet policy will be sent before booking.
Important note:
- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
