“The property was very clean, as advertised and had everything we needed. Orange lake provided opportunity for the kids to fish swim and play and we were able to make a quick drive to lubec to the state park. Great mini (3 night) vacation. Patsy and Ken were great hosts.”

“It was very peaceful there, the backyard has a little fire pit and some chairs which is perfect for star gazing. Sky is amazing. The beach is right down the street, fun for the kids. The place was clean and beds were comfortable. Any questions I had I got a quick reply. We were happy.”

“We had a great week at the cottage with our dog. There's lots of hiking and small towns to explore, and Acadia is about an hour's drive away. The cabin was comfortable for two people, with a fully stocked kitchen. Make sure to bring your drinking water; since the water is from a well, you get sediment. The shower may not be suitable for larger/taller people. Great first impression of Maine!”

Checked on us when Hurricane Lee was making an appearance! 3 things not in the listing: No washer/laundry While the view of the bay is beautiful you cannot really access the water … the tides do not permit. They no longer have a Wi-Fi hotspot- which didn’t really impact us but fyi!”

“The cottage was rustic and comfortable. The location was beautiful and private. It was just what our family needed. The kayaks, fire pit and a screened in porch made for some productive conversations and some fun memories!”

“Spectacular ocean view. It was a little strange drive to access the property and difficult to navigate after dark. The cottage was very roomy and rustic. I would recommend using the bedroom at the far end. The bed in the first bedroom is very soft.”

“We loved everything about this rental. It is private, immaculately clean, and horses! It was so quiet and relaxing to watch the sunrise with coffee out on the deck and horses grazing in the paddocks. This home is perfectly situated to be close to Bar Harbor, Acadia Park, Schoodic Point (even better) and yet distant from crowds and heavy traffic. Driving past the Wyman Blueberry fields was amazing! The host was so helpful and we were so grateful for the Schoodic Point recommendation!”

“Thanksgiving turkey dinner with a water view, yes please! Lovely cottage right on Moosabec Reach with a little cove and lots of wildlife right on your doorstep. Warm, comfy setting to come home to after excellent though nippy hikes at nearby preserves. Comfortable bed and living room and a full kitchen we used well since it was off season. Loved it and would return!”

“The house was beautiful, well appointed, the only downside was we were about an hour from Bar Harbor & Acadia. As we were on vaca and due to being right on the ocean it was worth it. Being able to hike right outside the cottage was very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay there. It was just my sister & I so there was plenty of room for us. The loft is definitely for teenagers. We are both over 50 and only went up there once to check it out.”
