âMy husband and I had a magical night at the lodge. The attention to detail started the moment we stepped in with welcome drinks (non-alcoholic option available) and handmade chocolates in the shape of rocks. The view outside our room was out of this world. The dinner (included in our room rate) was world class - inventive and high quality ingredients. The breakfast the next morning had several options to choose from. One of our most special stays!â

âThe place has a breathtaking view of the airport. We enjoyed it from the afternoon all the way into the staring evening. Mary was very friendly and even let us use the kitchen for dinner and breakfast.
But the coolest part was definitely the three airplanes displayed inside the houseâI took so many photos to show off!â

âHotel with a nice location and within 5 minute walk to restaurants and lake front. The room was large, well equipped and had a nice bathroom and a small balcony. Great breakfast buffet with even poached eggs to make your own egg benedict. The hotel felt quite new.â

âKitchen and shower room was i big need of updating. Didnât like to go in there, all equipment was really old, outdated and not very clean. Wifi just for 30 minutes, beds nomto great and so on⊠nice staff by reception thou đâ

âLoved staying at Matuka - breakfast was wonderful, the ground were beautiful, location was convenient, and the room was so clean and comfortable. The weather was quite rainy while we stayed there and it was so nice to have a comfortable place to relax and still enjoy a nice view. Would absolutely come back and recommend to anyone staying in Twizel!! â
