“David was very helpful, and he allowed us to use their microwave in the kitchenette! Location is great for Downtown Madison, great view of the lake. They provide suggestions for dinner, coffee shops and more!”

“Good location, really bad view from the room though with a construction site just outside the window. Our room was just 10 meters from the pool area which had really late opening hours to 11 pm. A lot of noisy kids and everything smelled so much chlorine(?) from the pool. Avoid third level if you want a quiet evening and morning. We stayed here a few days earlier as well on the fourth floor and that was just great but still a really bad view. ”

“Loved it. There is the train but they supply earplugs, but everything about the hotel makes up for that small thing. Just texted to a friend that I would definitely stay there again. Loved everything about it!! Thank you Ruby Marie.. also, great breakfast!”

“Our room was clean, appointed with fun artwork that you can tear off and take with you. Didn’t use many amenities as we were in and out. We opted to park ourselves and it’s a short walk to the garage, so on a cold night it might be best to take advantage of the valet. The bar area is nice but it was busy and understaffed so we waited quite a while to be acknowledged. Once we placed our order, drinks were made well, the bartender was very nice but a bit overwhelmed and it showed. ”

“Great place! It was very clean and check-in was easy; however, the property isn't great for people with mobility issues - every room is on a different floor and requires going up or down stairs. Unfortunately, there was also no elevator. It wasn't a problem initially, but I ended up hurting my knee off-site and getting up three floors of stairs was more than a little difficult. ”

“Appreciate the lake view and the comforts of the historic home. David and Bob are wonderful hosts. They thought of everything and did a great job with the recent renovations. Nicely done!”

“Man at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Clean room in a great location. Bar was open late. Parking in the Wilson St Garage was easier and cheaper than on site parking. Overall, a great stay and we'll be back ”
