MOUNTAIN JOY COTTAGE # 8 - LITTLE BEAR

Mountain Joy Cottage # 8, Little Bear, byggdes i början av 1840-talet och var Medford bostad i Iron Duff / Crabtree-området och flyttades till sin nuvarande plats i början av 1 + 50-talet. Denna stuga har utsatta loggväggar som ger den en unik överklagande. Denna stuga har intressanta detaljer som vi har lagt för att påminna oss om de svarta björnar som vår hemma i vårt område.

Ursprungligen var Maggie Setzer, för vilken Maggie Valley heter, det land som Mountain Joy sitter, en speciell plats. Du kommer att bli förtrollad med det berget charm, familjär atmosfär och karaktär. Vi erbjuder alla moderna bekvämligheter man kan förvänta sig med året runt tillgång och avskildhet som väldigt få kan erbjuda.

Njut av den lugna landsbygden i våra stugor. Vi har en, två och fyra sovrum stugor alla utrustade med vedeldade eldstäder, kabel-tv, internet och kök redo att laga en hemlagad måltid. Utanför verandorna har gungstolar så att du kan njuta av ditt morgonkaffe eller njuta av solnedgången på bergen på kvällen. Vårt glasomslutna utomhuspool (säsongsbundet) erbjuder en härlig plats att koppla av.

Mountain Joy Cottages ligger centralt i hjärtat av Maggie Valley, bara ett kvarter upp i Setzer Cove Road, med enkel tillgång till alla sevärdheter i området. Vi är bara några minuter från Scenic Blue Ridge Parkway och Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Området är laddat med hantverk, antikaffärer och presentbutiker. Den stora utomhus erbjuder ridning, golf på området bergskurser, öringfiske i strömmar, forsränning och natursköna enheter. Snöskidåkning och slangar är tillgängliga för hela familjen på Cataloochee Ski Area. Nattlivet innehåller allt från jazz till bluegrass, igensättning eller middagsunderhållning. Våra stugor ligger bara en kort bilresa till Great Smoky Mountain Railway, AshEville och The Biltmore Estate, Cherokee och Indian Reservation och Harrahs Casino och historiska downtown Waynesville.

Oavsett säsong, Mountain Joy Cottages och Great Smokies har något mycket speciellt att erbjuda. Från blommor på våren, till flammande färger på hösten eller lugnet i vintern, kom besök och göra minnen på Mountain Joy Cottages.

Amazing Stay!!

We had an absolutely amazing stay in Maggie Valley!! 100% recommend this cabin! The Elk came through every day for a visit and the cabin was cozy and comfortable. We will definitely be back soon.

Small problems make a big difference

We stayed in this same place in Oct 22, and noted some problems then. Sinks not draining properly, only a few clothes hangers, coffee maker has wrong carafe and made a mess when we tried to brew coffee. These problems still exist. Oh, and now they have a new policy of not providing paper products or cleaning supplies. We had to make a trip to buy our own. For the price, we will stay somewhere else next visit. It's too bad because the bed is super comfortable.

The grounds are lovely with a huge area for kids to play and grown-ups to act like kids and a fire ring to gather around and enjoy s'mores. During the summer months a very nice pool is available. Everyone was quite happy with their cabins.

Enjoyed

The cabin was exactly like the pictures. It is a pleasant alcove of 12 cabins surrounding a beautiful green space with a great playground for the kids , a beautiful covered pool and mountains all around. An addition was the wild Elk that wandered in to eat crab apples right off the tree. A fantastic property.

We had a problem opening the door we called the office and someone came out ASAP and gave us an extra key and showed us how to unlock the door. The doorknob should be replaced so no one has to struggle to unlock the door. The only other thing that should be replaced is the mattress. It is horrible. A good nights sleep is very important to an enjoyable stay.There was a strong smell of smoke from the fireplace especially when you first walk in. That should be taken care of.

Cute Nice Small Cabin

My wife and I stayed in this cute, little cabin. It had everything that we needed. 1 bedroom with a King bed, 1 bath with all the necessities. We enjoyed our stay. We mostly sat around enjoying the mountains and shelling pecans. The scenery is wonderful and it is a good place for a couple to get away in!

Fortunately were able to peer in a window and get an emergency contact number to get our checkin info. pretty stressful beginning.

I found the cabin to be too dark, stuffy, and uncomfortable. The bed, in particular, was extremely uncomfortable. Right off the main road so there is noise from motorcycles and cars but it stops around 8pm and doesn't start again until after 9am. So overall the road noise was not an issue. We had an issue with the cleanliness and the cleaning crew leaving something of significant value from the previous renter that they should have seen. Bed sheets were dirty and the bathroom was dirty. Overall the place was pretty good and I would definitely go back. I just think the management company needs to find a new cleaning crew.

Nice peaceful place

Overall nice only had 3 rags and towels for a 2 night stay also no hand soap and only a half roll of tp other than that we haf a very nice stay it's a simple cabin but all we needed we would recommend to stay again.
