ESCAPE TO THE COUNTRY AT HUNTER RIVER RETREAT.
Lämna staden bakom och varva ner på däck på din egen stuga, kanske njut av ett glas fint Hunter Valley-vin och gör ingenting annat än njut av lugn och hisnande vyer som omger dig på pittoreska Hunter River Retreat. Om du letar efter ren Austra boende i nedre Hunter Valley med plåttak, ceder stugor, vilda djur och avskildhet från andra stugor, är detta platsen för dig. Bara 10 minuter från Maitland i nedre Hunter Valley, erbjuder detta lant landsbygdens reträtt privat boende och har boutique vingårdar i närheten och de viktigaste Hunter Valley Vinodlingar 25 minuter bort.

Vi har en pool, och fiske i Hunter River och bushwalking på 110 tunnland.

Heldag Bus Winery Tours kan också ordnas som plockar upp från The Retreat - du kan smaka och inte oroa dig för körning.


Cedar Cottage är en privat helt fristående stuga med jacuzzi spa på däck. Den har två sovrum, med en drottning i ett sovrum och 2 singlar och en uppsättning våningssängar (2 singlar) i det andra sovrummet. Fantastisk utsikt över dalen och Hunter River.

Cedar Cottage är $ 600 för 2 personer för helgen (2 nätter).

Lovely

A simply gorgeous spot with a beautiful view. The spa bath on the deck is a fantastic way to unwind. Cute, rustic cabin surrounded by both domestic animals and wildlife which is nice. Lots of nice little touches in the cabin to make it feel homely. Eloise is an excellent host who is easy to communicate with and replies to messages promptly.

Lovely farm stay!

Our stay definitely exceeded expectations. We were in the most beautiful location and incredibly peaceful. We loved all the animals on the retreat including the alpacas and the wildlife. The lookout points and balcony views were unreal. Nothing like the morning sunrise practicing yoga up there being surrounded by bird songs. The cabin was also very cosy and comfortable. The beds were perfect too and we all got the best sleep! Can’t wait to come back again.

Perfect girls weekend

This was a perfect spot for a girls' getaway weekend (though we left trying to figure out if we could come back with the kids sometime too as they also would have loved it). We loved the casual animals around the property and the jacuzzi on the deck. Overall a great place to just settle in with some wine and cheese. The long steep driveway up from the street was damaged when we came so a little scary in my small car but all good in the end and they were fixing it as we left anyway.

Scenic getaway

The pictures on the website hardly do justice to the real experience. The location is fabulous, so scenic and secluded at the same time. The hosts are friendly and there are adequate instructors in and around the property. The cabin is rustic, but beautiful, just what you’d want for a stay of this nature. The spa is great and amazing for relaxing after a winery tour. The only problem was that our stay got over too soon !! Highly recommend this place

The view is outstanding

The view is absolutely amazing. That, plus the animals that you can see and touch at your doorstep. If you like cooking, bring your own frying pan though, the one at the cabin was about 100 years old. The jacuzzi is great. There’s only a small couch so not everyone can lounge at the same time but we were out most of the time so it wasn’t a problem. Did I mention the view? AMAZING

Just the perfect getaway!

An easy 2 hour drive from Sydney and you find yourself on this amazing property. A lovely cottage (Cedar) nestled in a beautiful setting and to-die-for views. Friendly animals close by that you can feed if inclined. I found out you just can't have enough carrots!! In and out of the jacuzzi all day and life was pretty good. Perfect getaway

I stayed at Hunter river retreat with my partner and two dogs. The stay was a perfect weekend get away from Sydney. The property was beautiful to explore with animals freely walking around and coming home in the afternoon to relax by the fire. Eloise was quick to respond to any questions I had throughout the booking process.

Fabulous short break

We absolutely loved our stay in Cedar Cabin at Hunter River Retreat. The cabin suited us perfectly. It was just my partner,dog and myself but we could easily have brought the grandkids with us. The cabin was exactly what I required for our desperately needed short break (3nghts). Wonderfully rustic but with all the conveniences (no dishwasher but that was a plus for us). Eloise and Troy are great hosts and answered all of our queries promptly. The animals on the property were so lovely to interact with, so friendly and both they and my doggo seemed quite intrigued by each other. The walk to the picnic area and look out was great for a little exercise and the look out is spectacular. And the spa bath afterwards makes any exercise worth it. We were also recommended to use Lucky wine tours. Such a lovely accommodatiing company I can’t recommend one or two of their tours enough! The only problem we had was leaving. We didn’t want to leave!!! We could have quite happily moved in and stayed. You won’t regret staying here❣️
