"This is an island to go to If you want a soft and calm holiday. We came here from a resort island on the north atoll and this is quite different. Here most guests are older and there are few wedding couples. Guest from europe and few russians. (Other resorts have lots of russian tourists) Tempo is lovely slowmotion on this small island and you walk around it in 20 minutes. What is uniquely with Makunudu? You got the wildlife around you and a living reef with excellent snorkeling from the beach. Sue and Ricardo (divecenter) welcome you with tip on good spots for snorkeling and arrange also tours. They are really great and Sues energi is wonderful! All staff is very good and food are various and good tasting. We had All Inclusive with a selected drinklist. Compared with the first resort, a smaller selection, but ok. Yes, wifi is really slow, but you can watch Netflix at home. Wifi 1 mbit down at villas. This is a genuine island, not partyparty with loud music and noicy children, quite the opposite. We loved it and suggest 5-7 days stay. Good connection at Male and we had just a shorts time at airport. Speedboat about 50 minutes one way and you need that distance away from Male so you can avoid all buzz with traffic around Male and all contianer ships. Makunudu is affordable and we strongly recommend this place If you like a soft and calm place with great sealife from the beach. And YES, I finally met Nemo!! "
