my experience is worse.... first, they give the high price to the not proper room. some hotel provides breakfast for that kind of price. they put a water heater but the don't give Nescafe of what so ever. the conclusion I don't like this hotel...

There is not inside bathroom in the room.
I was surprised when the moment I get in, there is not bathroom inside the room. The bathroom is outside the room.

nice but disappointing
first time in my life i saw the hotel room without bathroom. The bathroom or toilet located outside which is not convenient at all.

Suitable for business and holiday trips

TOTAL DISSAPOINTMENT
It was a total disappointment. When we book, it started that had free breakfast and free parking. However , there is no free breakfast nor free parking. The toilet is outside the room. I will never want to stay in this hotel anymore.

Nice hotel on the outskirts of town centre.
Breakfast was slow in topping up..but food was ok even though choice was limited..room conditions ok..shower water flow was excellent..WiFi was also good..

Nice budget hotel
A simple nice set-up hotel. Ideal for solo traveller who need room just to take a nap. Although need to share common bathroom for those who stay in single room, the bathroom is clean and tidy.

fast check-in, comfort bed, very fast and reliable wifi connection, booked the lowest price single-bedded room, although it's share bathroom (like hostel concept) but the bathroom condition is very clean and power shower is working perfectly.

Front desk staff was most helpful and nice. Lobby and restaurant was tastefully decorated.The room was a bit stuffy. You need transportation to go to the town. Value for money. Definitely will recommend.

A bit far out
The hotel is far away from the main attractions and the public transport does not serve the area - so you need to get taxis. But the hotel is in a quiet area where you can eat out cheaply.

Not vey satisfied with the convinience prepared because there were no spoon even plastic spoon in the room to help me to make a cup of coffee.Furthermore, the air conditioner is not very good,it takes time to make the room cold.

well, still okay..
The hotel condition basically is alright, but the washroom doors of female should be fixed,it is a little bit problem on it.the location is consider far from jonker street, 5 to 6km.the free breakfast provided is not appetizing.

Room clean and tidy. Have it own cafe shop beside the hotel. Quiet and peaceful by surrounding with residential area. A bit faraway from main town.

Hotel didn't notify guest if they left something
I stayed at the hotel on Sat,6/6/15 and checkout on Sun,7/6/15. Unfortunately before checkout, the hotel parking area was flooding so we had to rush out before the floods getting worse. In that time of rushing, I accidentally left my watch in the hotel room; only when I exit Melaka I realized that my watch was missing, I thought maybe it must have fell somewhere in flood when I was on my way to the car. Unlike other hotel, they would clean the room after guest checkout and would call the guest if they have found any guest belongings in the room. But at Sunflower Hotel, guest have to specifically remember if they have left something behind. I call them on Tue,9/6/15 asking if they have found my watch, they said I haven't checkout yet then later call back that they found my watch. I gave them my office address so that they can post it. After a week of waiting, I called them back yesterday on Tue,16/6/15 and guess what? They didn't receive they address I gave them. Thankfully it was only my watch that I accidentally left behind, it could've been worse if it was my wallet or laptop. Moral of the story, make sure you don't left anything behind even if in the worse situation where the hotel parking area was flooding, and don't expect all hotel takes guest belongings especially if you accidentally left them because some of them don't take it seriously.

It was great. The room was so tidy and clean. Services were excellent. Worth the price. Breakfast not good.
