“We liked the hosts Colin and Carolien so much. They could not do enough for us. We asked for a bigger room and we got the biggest room I have ever had in a lodge! They even drove us to get food and were such great company. The lodge was brilliant - very African. Zebras came right up to us! the wildlife in Marloth Park is very tame. The lodges are African style so quite dark as designed to be cool. Colin and Carolien had a generator which worked when the power was out which was often. ”

“We had three lovely days at Needles Lodge. The lodge is a nice place to stay at and the service is good from the team. Lovely dinners with good company from Colin the manager. We got also a lot of info about the animals and the nature from Colins who is well experienced. We did one day in the Kruger park with a booked tour and the next day with our own car, a good mix. When driving in the local Marloth park there is also a lot of animals. if you are out in the morning or late afternoon.”

“Precious ist der Star der Küche und zaubert ein faszinierendes Dinner (das Kudu Filet war exzellent) auf den Tisch. Die Lodge ist im Übrigen sehr angenehm und auch für einen relaxing day geeignet. Kurze Fahrtzeit bis zum Crocodile Gate des Krüger Park. Sehr persönlicher und netter Kontakt mit dem Team mit guten Gesprächen Ann Feuer. Wir kommen gerne wieder!”

“Small room, loud fridge, bathroom is in need of upgrade. Not a 4 star hotel by any means (I run a lodge myself and know all qualifications and they don't meet them honestly), a 3 at most. Room not really very clean, bed is good but all furniture is old. Curtain does not close nicely. Restaurant has hardly any options for vegetarians and none for vegan. Nice setting on the river bed. ”

Pool, solstolar och bra priser på vin och dryck.Jättetrevlig personal som gjorde allt för att vi skulle trivas. Vi fick t.o.m med oss frukost när vi åkte till Kruger parken kl 5 på morgonen. Åker gärna tillbaka. Underbart att sitta vid poolen se giraffer och elefanter på andra sidan Crocodile river. Mycket fin frukost, lunch och tre rätters middag på kvällen. Finns inget att...

“We stayed for two nights during a stop over in the southern parts of the Kruger Park and a visit to Swaziland. Please note that this lodge is in Marloth Park! Gate entrance to the park is recommended via the Tenbosch Road from the N4. Only Olifant Drive was a paved road leading to the lodge. All others was unpaved. Our Vw Polo was almost unable to reach the lodge since many roads had been damaged by heavy rainfall recently. I would have liked having a 4x4 vehicle at that time. Please note that...

“Great small lodge 20 metres from the Kruger fence, could see elefants and hippos. Good breakfast and dinner, not fancy. Their safari guide is really good and we really recommend going with the lodge's safari. They have a big open van for ten people and we were only 2 or 4 persons going at the same time. The bigger hotels have more people in their vans. No public wi-fi, expensive to use wi-fi.”
