Welcome to The Happy Little Apple—a bright, cheerful, and inviting home nestled in the heart of Manhattan, KS. This newly renovated 1920s bungalow is bursting with pops of color, historic charm, and modern comforts, creating the ideal getaway for your next visit to The Little Apple.
What You`ll Find Inside:
Living Room – Cozy seating for conversation, movie-watching, or relaxing after a day exploring Manhattan. There is also a bonus basement living room with a couch, TV, and game table—the perfect spot to do a puzzle!
Dining Room – Gather 10+ friends, family & loved ones around the spacious dining table for family dinners, game nights, or...push the chairs back and try a Pepper Pong match!
Office – If work calls, you`ll have a dedicated desk, high-speed internet, and a comfortable reading nook stocked with books from our library collection—perfect for unwinding between tasks.
Kitchen – Thoughtfully updated with ample counter space for your game day spread, plus a stocked coffee & tea bar and a nugget ice maker—a worthy trade-off for our missing dishwasher. (Hand-washing dishes? A true 1920s experience! But hey, you`re on vacation—just rinse and stack them in the sink, and we’ll take it from there!)
4 Bedrooms – Queen beds with crisp white bedding, colorful accent pillows, and bright artwork create a welcoming retreat in each room. Blackout curtains and sound machines ensure a restful sleep. Plenty of hooks & racks will hold whatever you bring along.
2 Baths – Two full bathrooms with tub/shower, fresh white towels, and complimentary toiletry items in case you forgot something—we got you covered!

Logistics
The Driveway – Ah yes, the driveway—a bit of an adventure in itself! It’s steep, but nothing you can’t handle with a little slow and steady driving. The two egress window wells are clearly marked with reflectors and lights, so you`ll be able to steer clear of those with ease. Finally, take care on the way out—on the last stretch of the driveway before the street, taking it at a gentle angle is the secret to getting your car smoothly onto level ground, avoiding any unwanted scrapes!

For VRBO stays, we require a rental agreement to be signed. It will be sent to you after booking. It includes agreeing to a security pre-auth hold for any potential damages that occer during your stay. Thanks for understanding!
SMOKING
-No smoking or vaping inside the unit or on the unit`s property.
-If there is a violation of the no smoking policy, there will be an extra charge fee of $200.
-The term Smoking used here includes Marijuana, Cigarettes or anything of the like.

PETS
-No pets are allowed inside the unit.
PARTIES/EVENTS
-There are to be no parties held on the property. In regard to gatherings, greater than the listed capacity, please communicate with host to be approved or denied based on the nature of the gathering.

CLEANING
-If, at the end of the Guest`s stay results in excess mess that requires more than the typical cleaning procedure, there will be extra charges associated with the clean up.
QUIET HOURS
-Quiet hours will be from 10pm-6am on the weekdays and 12am-6am on the weekends.
-Any complaints will be addressed on a case by case basis and may result in extra incurred costs to The Guest.
DAMAGES/STOLEN ITEMS
-If an item on the property is broken or damaged as a result of the Guest, a photo is to be taken of the damaged item and sent immediately to the Host. Fees will be incurred based on the item cost to fix or replace said item (if the item cannot be fixed to an acceptable/safe standard).
-Accidents happen. If there is an accident, please just reach out immediately to figure out what we can do.
-If an item is taken from the property, the Guest will be charged for the full price of the item to replace if not returned within 24 hours of checking out. Exceptions are made if Guest is actively trying to return item, by communicating with the Host, but it takes more than 24 hours. The limit is three days, otherwise the Host will have to charge for the replacement of the item.
These rules are not to limit you as a Guest but to just be mindful of the people around you and help us out as Hosts.
