“The host was super welcoming! This was our first trip out of the Country and to Coasta Rica! Derek was the top notch Host, greeting us as we arrived (His dog and cat as well!- Plus for us because we are animal people!), showing us around the property, and available if needed! We would stay here again! The property is taken care of and stunning! Wish we would have had more time to stay here!”

“Kids voted this the best place we stayed! They enjoyed having their own private mezzanine complete with bean bags and games. We enjoyed the tranquility of the surroundings. Basic supplies like coffee and cooking oil provided do you can easily self cater. ”

“The property itself was quite nice and the beach is great. However, we were battling cockroaches the entire time. We probably killed around 12 roaches. And we left bread on the counter for an afternoon and it was covered in tiny bugs. This is our mistake too, but the bugs were just too overwhelming. The owner is very kind and communicative. The only downside is the war on bugs during our stay.”

“The house is fantastic — spacious, with two floors, and each bedroom has its own private bathroom, which is a big plus. However, it’s important to know that the property is part of a larger complex, including a duplex and nearby houses, so you can definitely hear the neighbors at times. One major downside for us was the lack of access to a washing machine. We stayed for six nights and were only provided with one towel per person and two small cloths for drying dishes. “Jose was a very welcoming host and great communicator throughout the booking process and our stay at his beautiful property. Words cannot describe and pictures can't capture the amazing views from this home. We felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, but restaurants and markets were nearby. We booked a short stay to visit Monteverde Cloud Forest, but wish we had an extra night to explore and enjoy the area around this property.
