The Mini Coconut Summ

Summary:
Relax with your family at this peaceful location, steps away from the water. The beautiful lagoon that opens up to the Gulf of Mexico can be seen from the front of the home. You can fish, snorkel, kayak, stand-up paddle board and more, just 50 feet from the house. Please note that this is a single unit of a duplex property. It has a separate entrance and private yard for your pleasure. Centrally located, we are minutes away from the airport, restaurants, beach and shopping.

VRBO gave incorrect host info so was confusing. Didn't get entry information so we just showed up and there was a number on the window of the house. Called and host gave info. The house was OK (needs a deep clean, refrigerator, shower, cabinets, ceiling fans). It was an unusually cold week and so didn't get to use the water items which were inaccessible anyway. Should have been cheaper for what it is.
Can't see well but rust stained all over doors. There was also a smell that would appear we couldn't figure where it came from.
Dust on undersurface of every house fan.
Front panel of stove coming apart. Can see glue, so bad repair.
Multiple obvious ceiling and wall patch and paint overs throughout. This is one area.

We made the most of the week because it was our daughter’s wedding and was needing to stay close but what had been highly anticipated turned out disappointing. Communication was absent with the host. The grounds keeper was close and attentive when the other members of our party in another home reached out but we didn’t have the same experience when I reached out via the Vrbo app. The unit could be cute but it’s bedding and floor coverings are overused and needs a very deep cleaning, or replacement. Having laundry in the unit was wonderful and I used it heavily. Everything I could wash was washed and it felt better after I did this but I shouldn’t have had to, to feel comfortable. I am certain the unit was in better shape when we left for some time. The outdoor furniture was in terrible condition and wasn’t something we couldn’t sit on so we were trapped inside more than I’d preferred and the back patio had lots of trash that I picked up. The grill was broke and the other unit had 2 grills which were broke as well. The grounds keeper did replace one and we shared that for the remainder of the week but again if that hadn’t been family that wouldn’t have been possible either. The smell of weed all week from the unit next door was terrible and I would suggest the full time resident use gummies to prevent offending other guests if possible especially if future guests had breathing impairments . We made the most of the week for our kids but was disappointed.

Fantastic Place to Stay

This property is ideally located in the middle of Marathon close to beaches, walking trails, restaurants and stores. One thing to keep in mind is that it's nearby the local airport, so there will be some aircraft noise at times. Other than that, the place is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay and is well laid-out. Check-in was simple and the property manager was there to welcome us and show us around. We truly enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back!
