North Cascades Skagit River Retreat

Fred och lugn vid porten till North Cascades National Park - under två timmar från Seattle! Rymlig katedral-takvinkonstruktion i ett lantligt paradis.

Fiske i världsklass (eller bara se laxen springa!) vid sammanflödet av Skagit- och kaskadfloderna och högst rankade vandring i norra kaskaderna, nära många spårhuvuden inklusive spektakulärt vackra kaskadpass och dold sjö / utkik.

Chalet är bekvämt värd två till sex vuxna i två stora sovrum (master svit och loft) plus en bäddsoffa i det stora rummet. En extra våningssäng för två personer vardera under 150 pund (barn, förmodligen) ger summan till åtta.

Komplett kök och valfri tvätt, inom gångavstånd från Marblemount för restauranger och shopping.

Helgpriset gäller inte för vistelser på fem dagar eller längre.

The house is well equipped, beautiful and very comfortable. The owner is responsive and communicative. Beds are comfy. The only thing that would have improved our stay is if the second bathroom had a standup shower. It is close to the trails for the National Park and even comes with bear spray, which we didn’t need or use.

We stayed at the Rainbow House for 4 nights while we were hiking in the North Cascades and the house fit our needs perfectly. The setting is beautiful - even prettier than in the pictures. The house is also very well appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed for the nights we stayed in to cook, there were plenty of games to occupy us when it rained, and we also appreciated the stocked coffee and shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower. Most importantly, the house was very clean and felt like home. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we come back to the area.

Perfect North Cascades Vacation

We enjoyed five days of awesome hiking at the Rainbow House. Every possible need was met by our host, including many rainy day activities inside the cabin, just in case….Host went above and beyond by immediately responding when we accidentally entered the incorrect entry code. Wi-Fi was excellent. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment and coffee/tea. Bed was super comfortable. We’re already planning a return to the fantastic Rainbow House.

Perfect and exactly what we were looking for! The close location to the Marblemount entrance of North Cascades N.P. was very convenient. The property and surrounding area is beautiful and was just as described in the post. It was very clean and well appointed. There was so much space for our family of four to spread out and we absolutely loved the porches for morning coffee and afternoon (post hiking) drinks. There were a few grocery stores in Concrete about 20 minutes away, but we bought food and supplies in Mt. Vernon on our way to the property. Overall, we really loved our stay and would book it again in a heartbeat.

The Rainbow House in Marblemount was one of the most memorable stays our family of six has ever had. The home is cozy, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms—one with a bunk bed and another with two double beds and a connected bathroom with a tub. The kids loved watching the sunset from the upstairs porch and were thrilled to spot a fawn and her doe several evenings in a row. Downstairs features another bedroom and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, which became our preferred spot for bathing. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was perfect for unwinding after full days of exploring. The laundry area, located in the detached garage, was a huge bonus—especially with an extra toilet available there. There is also a separate rental unit attached to the garage, but even if occupied, the layout is well-designed and still feels very private. The laundry is shared between the two units on a first-come, first-served basis, but we were the only renters and wouldn’t anticipate any issues even if it were shared. The space is thoughtfully planned—just be courteous if both units are in use, again total private spaces. The home is just minutes from the North Cascades entrance and is well-equipped with AC and fans to keep things cool and comfortable. We highly recommend the Rainbow House—it exceeded all expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice, and we’d return in a heartbeat!

Lovely Property

This is a beautiful property and a great location for exploring North Cascades NP and the surrounding area. The pride of ownership shines through from initial reservation to final departure. The owner provided very detailed and clear information prior to check in. The property was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and no detail was overlooked. The beds were comfy and the area is very peaceful and quiet. There are a few good restaurants very close by. We would definitely stay here again.

Week in North Cascades

This cabin was the perfect spot to enjoy the North Cascades area from. Cabin was very well stocked with everything you would need to cook with, beds were comfortable and the downstairs shower was amazing. We were even lucky enough to get an amazing view of the Northern lights several nights.

Stay at this terrific home!

Located close to everything, but far enough to feel like you are in your own private mountain get-away. Wonderfully kept home with everything needed and an incredibly responsive owner. Views of the mountains, and proximity to the river, North Cascades National Park and town were perfect.

Beautiful house with great access to North Cascades National Park. Steve was great and access to the property was easy. The house was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. The lofty ceiling in the livingroom was awesome. The dining table was a great spot fir famiky games. Really enjoyed the decks!

Tranquility

Quiet, clean, well-maintained property with a caring host. We were a large group visiting the Cascades, so we booked the Rainbow House and the Private Annex (see separate review) together. The Rainbow house is beautiful. Room to spread out but easy to spend time together. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the equipment needed to make family meals. It is close to good hiking trails It’s also an easy walk to town where we found good restaurants, a coffee house, and a small grocery store. Perfect!

Absolutely amazing!

We loved our stay at rainbow house and fell in love with the area. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The scenery surrounding the house made relaxing on the porch even more enjoyable. Not far from the park, river, or local stores and restaurants. The house was extremely well stocked and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Steve was responsive and helpful. You won’t regret renting this place. We hope to be back!
