Features include furnished living room; furnished kitchen area, washer, dryer, air conditioning, tv, satellite or cable, heater. Two decks, firepit, mountain location. 1 night stays are welcome.

Attractions near cabin include:
-Hungry Mother State Park (7 miles), which features swimming, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boating, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, john boating, and birding.
-Bristol Motor Speedway (59 miles)
-Back of the Dragon (2 miles)--scenic drive, especially for motorcyclists
-Emory & Henry Medical School Campus (2 miles) and E&H main campus (20 miles)
-Hurricane and South Fork waters with excellent trout fishing\

General Information: Wheelchair inaccessible. Pets allowed 25 pounds or under, fee of $80.00 per pet. Any pet over 25 pounds can not be accommodated or allowed to stay. No parties or disturbances. If guests are asked to leave for disturbance or bad behavior, no refund will be given. Guests provide their own meals. Owner or agent is not responsible or liable for any loss of tenant's personal property, accidents, injuries, or damage of any nature from any cause to tenants (including their guests or invitees) or by acts of God. Minimum two night stay or rent weekly. Firewood provided at no charge. If extra storage is needed, storage unit may be provided at no additional charge.

Additional guest: Only four additional guests at a fee of $50.00 per night after the first two guests. Children pay same as adults. Sleeps 6.

Strict: Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.

This property was perfect for our stay in Marion. It was clean, spacious and had everythinng we needed. We liked that it was located just outside of town in a very quiet area.

For a location with a cleaning fee, you would expect it to be clean upon arrival. It had clearly been “spot” cleaned, but we found stained, dirty sheets, dishes with food still on them and dirty bathrooms. There is an infestation of smallish black spiders in the master bedroom and bathroom. We had no communication from the owners, instead found notes left around the property with instructions. It was necessary for us to use air conditioning due to unseasonable warmness, but even with that the “cabin” was so overly warm we opted to sleep over with family two nights of our stay for comfort. Comforts are minimal, with the warm water barely lasting long enough for two short showers and the shower heads creating a lack of water pressure. The supplied “limited” paper products, soaps and shampoo are also very very limited, we found a half roll of paper towels, a partially used container of shampoo and a used toothbrush. Location is undesirable, do not be mislead with the title “close to Hungry Mother State Park” it is still a 15-20 minute drive. There is also a mention of the cabin being “river front” this is an absolute lie. The driveway is steep and rough, leading to a repair needed to our sons’ oil pan. Though we knew ahead of time, paying an additional $50 per person per night for more than two guests on a property designed to sleep 6 is outrageous. Overall I would not recommend anyone stay at this overpriced, outdated and uncomfortable “cabin” in a less desirable area.

Happy to find this option in Marion! This was an older but very charming cabin that was clean, very well stocked with supplies and anything we needed. It was like staying at Grandma’s cabin. We enjoyed it very much. Location was surprisingly remote feeling even though it was only a couple miles out of town.

Enjoyed our stay

Family reunion

Check in and out was smooth. We appreciated that we could have our dogs with us. Linens on beds and towels and wash clothes could have been cleaner. House was tidy and stocked with adequate supplies for a short stay. Overall the house was adequate for a few days.

Should not charge more for additional people on 3 bedroom unless it hits 6 people on 3 bedroom house. Other than that loved place. Clean, no WiFi, phone service is very low unless standing outside. Driveway is sloped. View is awesome from deck.

Amazing

We had an amazing time during our visit. The cabin was perfect for us. We left after a week completely relaxed. We fished, did some sightseeing, side by side (ATV) and horseback riding all within a short distance of the cabin. Deer pretty much every night outside the cabin. We loved it!!! Thank you so much!!!!

Lots of room, pretty woods in back

Positives: Lots of room, pretty lot on top of hill. Big kitchen. All bedrooms, kitchen and living room were large. Convenient to downtown restaurants and Theatre. Negatives: No dishwasher, toilets were dirty, have to drive thru a very poor unkempt neighborhood to get to property. Carpet seemed dirty. Very basic TV stations.

Everything was perfect!

My husband and I purchased tickets to see Rhonda Vincent at the Lincoln Theater in Marion about a month ago. So we were on the hunt for a place to stay. We enjoy staying in houses/ cabins rather than hotels because we like to cook, sit by the fire and just enjoy ourselves. So when we found this place we thought it fit the bill. When we arrived Wednesday evening it really was perfect. Everything, bathroom, kitchen, bedrooms and living room, were spotless. The fire pit was exactly as described. We enjoyed cooking out meals over the fire pit, sitting by the fire and also the nightly visit from 2 beautiful deer. If we ever want to catch a show at the Lincoln Theater again, we will surely stay here. It was only 9 minutes from the Theater and 11 from the grocery stores. Very convenient. Overall a fabulous trip that I would recommend to anyone!

The property was good for my parents and I to stay at instead of a hotel. The rental had most normal things, but no iron. Unfortunately, the sheets were not changed prior to our arrival and were absolutely filthy with excessive amounts of hair. We were able to find additional clean sheets to replace them with. The master bath was also quite dirty. Communication with the owner prior to our arrival was great, but communication after letting the owner know of our findings was nonexistent. Overall, pretty disappointed in the fact that we paid a hefty cleaning fee for a property that was not clean.
