“We had our children and grandchildren with us and found this property to be very Family friendly. Plenty of games and movies inside. The basement was a plus, room for the littles to play and the foosball table made for some competition. The amount of Lake toys was very impressive and plenty of outside play area. Great location, quiet cove to swim in. Very well appointed house and Kitchen you don’t always get that but they thought of everything! We will most definitely come back! Our only regret...

“If you’re looking for peace and quiet you found it. I sat out on the porch and just looked at the pond. Turned off the cell relaxed and enjoyed the view. The host was very accommodating. The home look just like the pictures and when I arrived the air conditioning was going which was great when your from California and not used to the hot sticky summers in Southern Illinois.”

“We love staying here after sightseeing around Shawnee!”

“Great property, very clean and had everything you could possibly need. We were in town for a wedding and this worked perfect for my group!!! Would definitely recommend!”

“We were there to attend a wedding so weren’t there much. We did observe there was trash left on the deck and lower deck could have used a good sweeping and cob webs removed. Pillows could also be upgraded. Might want to work on front screen door. Very, very squeaky coming in and out. Over all it met the needs we required for our stay. Thanks for being quick to return our calls”

“Nice place. We cooked meals inside on the stove but also over a fire at the fire pit. There is a small creek behind the cabin that runs when it rains out. That was pretty cool. No nearby light pollution so the sky is really dark at night and you can see a lot of stars. Overall a great experience. Two wineries close by. It's on the wine trail. Close to everything in Southern Illinois. We went to all the state parks.”

“We enjoyed our stay here very much. Beds are extra comfy and there was everything you could need. We wished it had lake access since we stayed during a brutal heat wave but no big deal.”

“We will definitely book our next stay with this home as it was very very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The host is very easy to communicate with, even though we didn't need to contact her about anything during our stay because everything was perfect. Having a garage to park in was definitely a plus. The king beds were comfy and the kitchen was stock with everything that we needed. Thanks again.”

“Overall, the place was roomy and in a quiet area. The pool was refreshing. Could have used some more serving bowls and cookware but we got by. The beds were comfortable. Lots of stairs. For older individuals, could be a problem.”

“Great place right on the lake. We caught A LOT of catfish! Host was very responsive and friendly.”
