Hotell i Markhu

“Extremely comfortable stay with gorgeous view of the mountains. Staff were very helpful. However, there was a large touring group in the hotel and our left luggage was mixed up with theirs and it was a mess. The baggage tag did not have the number of baggages and we had to drive back to collect one. Thank goodness that we remembered in time and didn’t drive far.”

“Everything was amazing at the hotel. The staff was so helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the room was very comfortable. The only suggestion for improvement that I have is to upgrade the toilets. They were kind of disgusting to look at.”

“Unfortunately not a very good hotel. The air conditioner is blowing right in the bed, making it impossible to turn it on when you sleep. And when you turn the AC off there is no air left in the room. And unfortunately, it is not possible to open the window. So no ventilation in the room at all. When you shower the water from the shower goes into the bedroom. And you can smell mold in the room. The staff was however very friendly and tried to help us, but in the end, we had to change the hotel....

“Stayed at Aloft before and after trekking to EBC-Gokyo. Really wonderful hotel. A great place to recover after two weeks of heavy trekking. Very clean and luxorious and centrally located in the Thamel tourist area. Very friendly staff nice ambience and good food!”

“Really nice hotel, fantastic staff. Very clean. Excellent breakfast with a good range of options. Good location and generally quiet at night. The rooms are quite light at night - there’s an odd “night light” that you can’t turn off (we covered it in pillows, it’s just by the door at ground level). You also aren’t allowed to bring in any food or drink from outside at all (like nothing) or the “hotel will fine you” which seemed a bit extreme. They do provide 2 bottles of water a day though which...

“The room was clean, but there is some wear and tear, particular grout and furniture. The A/C worked well. I received an upgraded room. The breakfast was simple but plentiful. Upon request I was provided with fresh milk for my tea in my room. The area is quite noisy until at least midnight. The backside of the hotel is probably quieter. The airport pick up was bungled but after taking an uber, we will reimbursed.”
