“The best thing about the hotel for me was the location. I had business at Tsinghua University, so it was very convenient to walk just a few hundred meters from the hotel to the campus. The service has improved in many ways compared to previous reviews. Many of the front desk staff were able to communicate in English, and those who could not speak English well tried to communicate using a translation app on their smartphones. “Nice location with the beautiful bamboo park and the zoo just across the road. The 40 sqm room felt spacious and the staff was helpful and friendly, the room was nicely cleaned. The hotel is named New Century but really it feels like stepping into the previous century, it's time to refurbish the rooms. The lobby looks nice though. From time to time there was smell of smoking in the room, not terrible but not very pleasent either. Unsure where it came from. Like many other places in Beijing not...

They are generous, two bottles of water per person per day, one small bottle of milk and two cans of sports drink. They are all free. They give free bottle water when check out. The buffet is a good deal, healthy and many choices. I highly recommend this hotel.”
