“I was overall happy with my stay at the Fairmont FKL, with one very important exception (listed under cons below). Pros: Close to the gondola, has a nice spa and decent gym. Mostly friendly staff. Spacious rooms. Okay level of cleanliness. Cons: Rooms do NOT look like they do in the hotel photos, they are dated and in need of a renovation. “We’ve stayed at The Peaks on several occasions, and sadly, this trip was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we checked in, the experience was poor. The front desk employee was curt and provided virtually no information about the hotel or amenities. “The hotel was beautiful. The stay was great, but the cleanliness of the rooms were terrible. There was red hair all on the walls in the bath tub that do not belong to us. We do not have red hair! Super gross. The previous family that stayed left behind a pink container with a bunch of snacks in containers. How long was that there for I don’t know I could not believe it. I don’t think my room was cleaned and checked before my families stay.”

“The person at check-in was too busy looking at their phone to acknowledge us. We finally had to ask if we needed to call the number listed on the back of the computer for help. Then gave us a hard time about checking in early when it was already 3:00, not crowded, and rooms available. Also asked if there were places to sit outside and he said no when both floors have chairs outside to look at the sights. Also outside needs some attention with dead plants or overgrown plants.
