## Emplacement
The 7th district is southwest of the city center, and includes the tip of the Old Port and the Frioul Islands. It is one of the most famous districts of the city, as it hosts notably the immense golden statue of the Notre Dame de la Garde basilica, emblem of Marseille. This district also includes one of the oldest Christian monuments in France: the Saint-Victor Abbey; but also the Fort Saint-Nicolas and the Palais du Pharo.
You will discover the narrow and steep streets of the Saint-Victor and Saint-Lambert neighborhoods, but also the bourgeois and modern buildings that alternate with many shops on the sidewalks.
