“This property is absolutely amazing. The beautifully restored villa, with its lucious garden, cosy patios, grill and pool made us feel right at home (after the initial shock of how big it was). We had to force ourselves to get out and explore the surroundings as we didn't really want to leave our oases. I think that says it all!”

“The property is not walking distance to Castro as described. This should be removed from the description as you need a car to to anywhere. It has lovely views but for the price lacks the higher end facilities that we would expect e.g. the kitchen had many appliances but most were old and could do with replacing. There was ample linen though the towels were not very hard. Outside the small pool had only 2 sun beds both of which had seen better days. For a 4 bed villa 2 beds were not sufficient...

“We had the most amazing stay at Locanda Fiore di Zagara in Diso. The house was even bigger, better and cleaner than we had expected after looking at the pictures. Gaia was very helpful and as always (second time we rent a house from Gaia) quick in responding to e-mails. The small sleepy town of Diso is very cute and the people are very friendly. The house is perfect for groups of friends as you'll get your privacy (all rooms have their own bathrooms) and then there are great common areas too...

Massimo e Luciano sono gentilissimi ed estremamente disponibili; abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo il giro in barca dal porto di Tricase. Ottima posizione per raggiungere il mare a Santa Caterina, Santa Maria al Bagno o Porto Selvaggio. Unico neo la strada molto rumorosa, soprattutto nel weekend.”

“The country setting near Otranto was stunning with sunrise views and great outdoor spaces. The indoor facilities were more rustic but comfortable in keeping with the rural nature of the property. Parking and easy access to Otranto and surrounding areas was a plus. The hostess was gracious and attentive to our concerns. The quick laundry service was a definite plus. Our only issue was the wind in March/early April kept us from fully enjoying the great outdoor area. Later Spring or early Fall...

“The hosts should consider a smoother check in and check out procedure. There was a general lack of effective communication. The layout was a bit unusual with one full bathroom next to the kitchen and not near either of the main bedrooms. We only found out about a third bedroom into our stay. The property also had several expense items that are unusual including having to rent and pay extra for linens and requiring a security deposit refundable by the host after an inspection on check out. “The house was very spacious. It was very clean. It had a lovely private garden/ orchard and although the pool was not big it was good for cooling off. There was a cafe next door and a bakery next door to that. There is a supermarket about 3mins in the car away and there are a few local restaurants. We only ate at one, Il Sogno.. Not a huge menu but a very good meal. Communication with the host was good. Good outside seating, could maybe do with more comfortable seating inside. A very pleasant...

It was central to a bunch of other nearby places on our list to visit and centrally located in the town. “Fantastiskt vacker palatsliknande villa, smakfullt inredd med antikviteter och spännande små stilleben av udda föremål. Charmiga sällskapsrum om man inte vill vara i sitt eget rum. Bra pris (4 nätter till priset av 3) i en rymlig lägenhet med en väldigt stor terrass med utsikt över havet. Bra luftkonditionering! Som ofta i Italien en väldigt söt frukost, men det fanns färsk frukt och osötad bröd också. Ägaren och hans kusin var vänliga och pratade en del engelska. Vi skulle gärna komma tillbaks,...
