“Neat place above the pub. If staying in that section, the stairs are quite narrow to get checked luggage up - but doable. We booked through Expedia and it said no attendant on site - so there was confusion on where to leave our bags and we did not receive a response so we ended up paying Premier Inn to hold our bags. “No air conditioning, despite being advertised as having it, waited 40 minutes to check in with no apologies and when I got into the room, on the hottest day of the year, the room was 48 degrees with a window that opened two inches!!! I requested a full refund from the duty manager who didn’t seem to care at all and kept us waiting another 40 minutes before arguing that because I bought it through Expedia there was nothing he could do. “Stopped here for a few nights as we had a wedding to attend. All was good though I am a light sleeper and did have trouble due to a low pitched hum that persisted through the night. As we weren't staying long we didn't ask to move to a quieter room. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest you make it clear when you book that you need somewhere quiet. The food was good and reasonably priced and the bar prices were not as steep as some we have encountered in other hotels.”

“The hotel was ok, no more or no less than that. The pictures on the website were all of the newer bit of the hotel by the looks of it. Our room even said “old” on the invoice I signed. Bed ok, room had good furniture but too much of it so barely room to move. Window to a fire exit that kept banging in the wind. Shower screen might as well have been wire mesh as water leaked everywhere and flooded the bathroom which looked to have been happening for a while looking at the water staining / state...

“Central position to explore Stratford. Comfortable bed, adequate room. Stayed during the heatwave so was way too hot, not the properties fault! Parking in NCP car park is right next door but adds £30 for my two nights to the cost. Would have maybe looked elsewhere if knew before hand. Went to Weatherspoons down the road for breakfast so cannot comment on that.”
