We booked through Expedia and it said no attendant on site - so there was confusion on where to leave our bags and we did not receive a response so we ended up paying Premier Inn to hold our bags. “The bathroom seemed a bit moldy, the sink was slow to drain, and there were big cracks in the bathroom wall too. I could hear everything out on the street from my room as well, which was quite disruptive in the mornings when trucks would be making noise outside— free alarm clock. I was bummed breakfast only started at 8am; I had to leave the hotel by 8:15 so didn’t get to use the hot breakfast option. “No A/C. We requested a fan and they brought us one that was full of dust. Didn’t realize that until we turned it on and dust chunks flew out. Realized we could use the hair dryer to blow out all the dust so that helped but then dust chunks were all over the floor. Facilities are a little run down. Staff was duct taping down the carpet in the hall right outside our door. Check in at kiosk didn’t work. Staff present was not that helpful but eventually got us checked in.”

“A lovely quirky & very old hotel. We had a great stay & will come back again. Not really any negatives above what you would expect from an old historic building. Attention to detail could be improved in a few area's, but these are minor, picky things. Positives far outweigh the negatives. Great building,l & great location to town. “The hotel was ok, no more or no less than that. The pictures on the website were all of the newer bit of the hotel by the looks of it. Our room even said “old” on the invoice I signed. Bed ok, room had good furniture but too much of it so barely room to move. Window to a fire exit that kept banging in the wind. Shower screen might as well have been wire mesh as water leaked everywhere and flooded the bathroom which looked to have been happening for a while looking at the water staining / state...
