Hidden Art Deco Gem

Peaceful and relaxing stay
Beautiful spacious home, in a peaceful location right across the road from the river. The house has everything you need, is warm and has a lovely relaxing feel. Was perfect for what we needed, and close to Gore. Will stay here again.

Perfect Haven to Unwind
This was our second time staying - despite being in and out of Gore for the Gold Guitars this was the perfect place to retreat and relax. We love the whole package - facilities and decor.

Beautiful warm house...so cozy nd relaxing..so in love with it ❤️
I stayed there with my family...we all loved the house that we felt like staying for a bit longer..absolutely superb👌we are planning to go back there next year ❤️

Art Deco Delight
This was the best place we have stayed on our 30 day South Island trip. So elegant, comfortable and welcoming, had all the amenities we needed, and some extras.... home baked cookies, fragrant candles, lovely comfy beds with gorgeous linens and pantry items.

Comfy, cosy, roomy and beautifully decorated
River Retreat is a real gem! Plenty of room for the whole family, beautifully decorated and lots of nice extras provided. Stacey was amazing to deal with and the perfect host looking after us so well through a Level 4 Lockdown. We will definitely be back if we are down this way again!

A haven of peace
Right from the time we booked Stacey was always in communication with us - reassuring us that despite the fact the whole area was flooded the house was fine. The house itself was warm welcoming and so comfortable - a perfect haven after a wet day bowling. Loved the place

Absolutely stunning
This beautifully renovated home is a delight. My husband and 2 children stayed here for one night but we wish it had been for more. The house is just so well decorated it feels like a chic hotel. U won’t be disappointed in the decision to stay here.
