“My partner and I enjoyed a winter weekend getaway at Whispering Pines and can’t wait to book another visit! The cabin is cozy - we especially loved the fireplace and sauna. We also enjoyed cooking in the nice kitchen and there’s nothing quite like eating with a beautiful lake view! Great place for ice fishing, close to restaurants and town but quiet in a wooded area too:) The sauna and fireplace were wonderful after a cold day on the ice. “This is a wonderful property! We originally booked for a place to stay for the Vasaloppet ski race and a 50th birthday celebration. Sadly, the race was canceled, but celebration continued. “Very welcoming! Creates the perfect cabin getaway experience! Outside of the cabin the area is very walkable (We like to walk at least 1.5-2 miles to start our day) ... and there are many opportunities to hike trails nearby (Father Hennepin offers hiking and biking). There are also a plethora of eating opportunities ... some do not need a car to get there! If you do choose to drive, we definitely recommend the ice cream at Malmo Market! Back at the cabin, you can choose to enjoy the amazing view...

“Stay was good. It’s a large home. My complaints would be we had to knock down a hornets nest on the back deck. Also it’s very weedy around the property. Just tons of bees and wasps around outside in the tall weeds. I’m highly allergic along with another guest so taking care of that wasn’t fun.”
