Gated and off a private road, this serene retreat built with local materials by local artisans is ready for you and has all the charm you would expect.

All modern conveniences with a king sized bed and 4 twin beds. Covered parking with ramp access to home and an outdoor shower complete the amenities.

Surrounded by acres of conservation land and wildlife management areas, yet mere minutes from incredible dining and activities like Cloudland Canyon Park, Desoto Park, McLemore Golf Course, Little River Canyon National Preserve, Canyon Grill, Elevation, Wildflower Cafe, hang gliding, white water rafting, snow skiing, kayaking, mountain climbing, fishing, and the quaint mountain village of Mentone. Very nice 5 night stay

Met all our expectations. Very clean with great views and all of what we needed on site. Short ride into town for groceries. Other than low water pressure in the 2nd shower it was a fabulous stay

We felt at home our entire stay. We were so comfortable and relaxed! The owners had everything we needed plus extras. And responded promptly with anything we asked. Very clean. A fantastic view from the back porch and even sitting on the couch and in the bed. Out in the country down a quiet gravel road. Very peaceful. This place will definitely go on our favorites list!

Wonderful Mountain Retreat

We stayed at the property over the Memorial Day weekend of 2024. The directions were accurate and the signage denoting Johnson Lane was greatly appreciated. The home was well appointed, well applied, and the views of the valley below were simply stunning. A number of staple items, including sugar, salt and pepper, paper towels, and garbage bags were available should had we forgotten any of these. The cabin was very comfortable, thoroughly clean, and the Wi-Fi access was a breeze to set up. In addition, the entertainment options, including Amazon Prime, and Netflix were appreciated, as well. The proximity of the property to a number of desirable locals, including the Cloudland State Park and the Chickamauga National Historic Battlefield made for easy exploration, and added excitement to the trip.

Mountain Getaway

Just had the most relaxing stay in the mountains of Cloudland, Menlo, Mentone area. The cabin was perfect! An incredible long range view. One of the quietest and most serene locations. The cabin was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The cabin had all the amenities you could possibly want. Communication with the host was excellent. I would highly recommend this Vrbo.

An Amazing Cabin

We stayed March 8th-12th because we were coming to the area to do some hiking. We saw the listing on Vrbo and thought let’s try it out…WOW….this cabin and the views were more than we imagined. The area is on the top of the mountain ridge and is extremely quiet and peaceful.the views are Amazing and we also met one of the neighbors who was very nice and informative with some info about the area. The cabin isn’t too far from town or the hiking trails. The owners were Super to deal with and even checked in with us to make sure everything was going well.We will definitely be repeat customers.

Family trip

We had a great time. Loved the cabin. Beautiful view from the back porch. The only that would have made the accommodations betters would have access to sports channel to watch the first Saturday of college football. Very important to the SEC fans.

Amazing View

Everything we needed and more was provided. Never stayed in a place that had so many extras. This is how it should be but so many do not even leave enough trash bags, hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, or even paper towels to last a couple of days. Thanks for being so generous and considerate. The house was clean and in great condition. The gas grill propane tank ran out and was immediately replaced. Wow!! Thank you. Don’t hesitate to rent here.
