The Space:
Bluestone Alpacas: The Alpaca Deluxe by Tiny Away is located in the rustic countryside of Merbein, the closest city, Mildura is 12 minutes away. Our secluded tiny house comfortably accommodates up to three guests. Upon entering the main driveway, continue past the carport—you’ll find the first farm stay tucked behind a polished tin and rustic recycled wood fence.

This cozy 190-square-foot tiny home features a queen-sized bed in the loft, a sofa-bed on the ground floor, easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette with a gas stove, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you're booking for a group, we have a second tiny home called "Bluestone Alpacas: Theodore’s Corner"—a cozy two-person tiny house located just to the left, behind the fruit orchard. A designated parking space will be marked. It's available with just 24 hours notice, ensuring you have even more cozy holiday homes to enjoy.

Exciting news in Merbein! Our 100-year-old Mildara Winery now features a brand new restaurant & bar. Just 500m away, enjoy a tasting at Chalmers Wines – two must-visit spots in one stunning location!

Advisory: Please note that a natural beehive is located approximately 40 meters from the tiny house. The bees are most active during the warmer months. Guests with allergies to bee stings should exercise caution.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny home and designated areas of the property, including the main driveway and areas where animals are paddocked.

- Complimentary cereal, seasonal farm produce, and tap water in the kettle and fridge are provided. Milk, sugar, coffee, and tea are also included. Sometimes fresh produce may not be available, but other farm-fresh items like eggs might be offered.

Limited access includes:

- Entry to animal paddocks is only allowed with prior approval.
- Please DONOT ENTER RESTRICTED AREAS and do not leave the gate/s open.
- Access to sheds, equipment zones, and the main house yard is restricted, except in emergencies.
- Second request firewood costs $10 per stay

Bluestone Alpacas: The Alpaca Deluxe by Tiny Away is part of Merbein's snug holiday homes, just a short 12-minute drive from the city of Mildura. Enjoy easy access to nearby attractions, like Murray River, perfect for fishing, riverside walks, and birdwatching.

Plus, with Mildura only minutes away, you’ll have plenty of dining options on Feast Street, along with many other local attractions to explore.

Getting Around:
By car:

- From Adelaide: 4.5-hour drive
- From Melbourne: 6-hour drive
- From Sydney: Approximately 11 to 12-hour drive

The district is located on a major thoroughfare between Sydney and Adelaide, and serves as the last major stop before heading north to the outback.

By public transport:

- The farm is accessible via taxi from Mildura.
- Mildura also has bus services from Melbourne and an airport with flights available from major cities.

- Family-friendly accommodation
- All mobile networks have strong reception
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- One complimentary round of firewood is included
- Charcoal BBQs are available (except for total fire bans)
- No smoking is allowed inside the tiny house, except outdoors
- Our resident donkey, Theodore, may bray from time to time
- We have two friendly dogs on-site that may bark occasionally
- Birthing and medical care may occur in the main paddock area
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- Family-friendly accommodation on a working farm — enter at your own risk and stick to designated areas unless arranged otherwise.

Activities

- Activities available around the property: Meet and Greet with the alpacas.
- Fleece handling, animal feeding, and educational talks are available by request.

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present.  
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our compost toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
