“I travel to Townsend a couple of times a year to visit GSMNP and have stayed at numerous hotels in that area. This was my first time at The Parkman. Property was clean and staff were efficient. My only complaint was that my room did not have a mini-fridge and microwave. The property is undergoing some renovations and I hope they add mini-fridges and microwaves to all their rooms. The restaurant next door is also under renovation so there is no breakfast offering at the current time.”

“Great way spend an evening and night! Tents were cozy and roomy and very comfortable. We spent some time in the common area playing board games and having breakfast. All very nice. Excellent service. Can highly recommend and will go again. ”

“We really enjoyed the access to the gas grill and pavillion. We were able to spend valuable family together. We gathered supplies at the local IGA grocery and prepared supper while the kiddo swam in the pool. The lodge is very close to Cades Cove and we were glad to spend time there as well.”

“Elevator out. Pool was closed. Room smelled musty and moldy. Carpet was gross (musty/moldy). There was no hot water. Visible mold throughout. No real lighting in the room. Breakfast was a continental with the option to microwave pancakes. They did give us another room after they saw all the issues. The new room was much better but still had visible mold and the toilet did not work well (running). This place needs to be closed for a full renovation.”

“The staff were friendly and it was pretty clean. They had a pretty small fridge in the room that could keep very few things. The bathroom was very tiny. The room was fairly clean. Kept finding long black hairs everywhere. It was really hot in the room even when the air was turned to the lowest setting. I would definitely bring my own drinks and snacks while staying here because the vending machine prices were outrageous but over all it was an okay place to stay for a couple nights. The room we...

“The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Being able to sit on the balcony and relax to the sight and sounds of the river was great. It was close enough to all the attractions but was also back a street so it wasn't so crazy. I really liked that. I would definitely stay there again.”
