“My brother and our wife's stayed at Dave and Emily's Runaway Cottage for the better part of the week. We really enjoyed everything about this place. It was close to the beach. We also got to enjoy the hot tub in the fire pit we tried to grab as much into the week as we could. And The Runaway Cottage was awesome. We're already playing in a return trip. Thanks Dave and Emily making it easy.”

“Terrible checkout. Due to miscommunication we were called liars by owner and treated with terrible customer service. We apologized SEVERAL times for mix up. We were then charged an extra $200 for an hour and half late check out. Book at your own risk !!”

“Outdated but clean”

“The property is very nice, private, quiet and clean. I gave this property a 5 Star rating with one caveat: there was no faucet handle for the shower. In its place was a pair of vice grips - it was difficult to regulate the temperature and water pressure, because it was not easy to turn. I recently suffered a shoulder injury, and, it was very hard for me to use the shower because I could barely turn the makeshift “handle” I would stay here again if the faucet handle were fixed.”

“I’ve been going on vacation for the last six weeks every week. I’ve been at a different place. This is my favorite place. I’ve ever been to in the entire time of my life. The hosts were very, very, very helpful. The best people I’ve ever met rent out a place. The location is pristine. The fishing is world class this place is heaven since I’ll be back for the rest of my life every year. I will make it a point to make this a family tradition port Authority Sabine pass is the future of fishing.”

“We really enjoy this property! We've stayed 3 times so far and will definitely return for future stays. The area is beautiful and invokes relaxation, the accommodations are very comfortable and convenient and there are ample activities to engage in or you can just relax. Breakfast, which is included, never disappoints, the portions are very filling and delicious. I highly recommend. On a side note, the cottages would benefit from a refresh to maintain their allure.”
