The photos were not 100% accurate. The entrance and hallways of the building were not clean. The AC in the rooms was not working, so we had to leave the room doors open to get air from the living room. The elevator was out of service during our entire 3-night stay. If you’re planning to book this place, don’t expect it to look exactly like the pictures — it’s definitely worse in reality.

Great location but accommodations are ok

This was a tough stay. I needed 4 beds when I booked this property which is why I chose VRBO over my typical Marriott resort when in Miami. I would not use VRBO in Miami again. Day 1 I fell off the broken bed that had a bucket in the center of the bed to keep it steady. Any edge you sat on it flipped. Then when it stormed rain came through the window seals soaking the floors and anything I had on it. The building was very dirty from the staircase walls, floors and the railings were filthy. The elevator is iffy. This is a great property for the location. It was easy to get to everything including the beach which was a short 2 minute walk.

location location location!

this place is the best spot to be close to the beach, great food, fun bars and a quick walk or uber almost anywhere. The blankets and pillow were so nice and comfy but the main bed was no so comfy and very squeaky. Other than a squeaky bed this place had everything we needed. Extra towels, beach towels and extra bedding. i would come back!

Girl Trip

For a party of four; perfect spot! In the midst of everything! When I say min walks; everything was at our hands! The place was beautiful, clean, and reasonable! My only issues were the elevator and parking! If it was a single apartment I could understand paid parking but because it’s in a building with other apartments there should be some type of accommodation for parking for people staying. Lastly the elevator! Now that was a little tight but funny if that makes any sense!! Don’t be in the rush to use the bathroom because your best bet is to take the stairs. You might be there for a while and you might have to make a few trips due to the tight space! Other than that, I can’t complain! Would definitely stay again!

not the best

if you like sleeping behind a locked door at night, this is not the property for you. the code lock on the front door consistently malfunctioned and the door would remain unlocked all the time, and the dead bolt lock was cut off. Showers weren’t too enjoyable due to the shower head being broken and low water pressure. other than those things the condo itself was nice. very small kitchen, much smaller than it appears in the pictures, but fully stocked with plates, cups, silverware, and pans. the location was fantastic, just a 2 minute walk from the beach and right next to ocean drive, but the building itself was old and run down. The elevator was broken, tiles on the stairs were broken and in piles, even the main entrance to the building is in an ally next to the Main Street. my family and I didn’t feel very safe walking in and out of the building everyday to be honest. overall, it might be worth it for the price to stay a few nights, but just know it’s one of the cheapest condos in south beach for a reason. Prepare yourself before you stay here.

Great Value. Close to Everything.

The location is dead center of happening South Beach with lots of local stores and markets to get any necessities for your stay. A block off Ocean is ideal for beach access, restaurants, and nightlife. The apartment itself was big enough for a family of 5 and our 6ft son did just fine on the couch pull out in living room. Apartment had all the basics needed for an enjoyable stay in South Beach. Building is in need of repairs to elevator (not functioning) and stairwells (broken chipped tiles) but the building felt safe.

Please read carefully - do not stay here over spring break

If you are planning to go to South Beach any time between March 1 and April 15, DO NOT stay at this rental. We are a mother and two teenage daughters and booked the apartment based on past reviews of positive experiences there and the photos posted. Nothing in the reviews prepared us for what we found when we arrived at 4 in the afternoon. The apartment was literally at ground zero of the mayhem that has been occurring in South Beach for the past few weeks. The “charming older building” turned out to house an abandoned store front on the first floor. The building hallways were run down, wreaked of pot, and were full of day time party-goers either drunk or high (unclear). The street in front was packed with people barely clothed, blaring loud music, also clearly drunk or stoned and yelling profanities at one another. The front door did not close tight and anyone could have pried it open with a tool. Once inside, we discovered that the door had a broken swing lock and no other way of securing it. We could not open any of the windows because of the noise outside and the smell of pot that pervaded everything. We reached out to the rental company right away to let them know that we did not feel safe staying in the building. We returned to retrieve our luggage at 7:45 to find police cars patrolling the block in front, blaring bull horns about a “state of emergency” and telling people to observe an 8 pm curfew and get off the streets. We left the area immediately. South Beach has had over 1100 arrests in the past few weeks in this area of the city. There was a shooting around the corner from this building in the last several weeks. A young woman recently was found dead after being drugged. We have learned that there had been 400 arrests for felonies, and that police have seized more than 100 guns in the past week. We rented the apartment at a time when this clearly dangerous situation (a state of emergency) had not yet occurred. The rental company refused to work with us on returning any of our money. I would avoid this rental around spring break, Memorial Day or Labor Day.

Should be cleaner but great location

The apartment is definitely not as neat as the pictures suggest. Building is dirty and many things in the apartment fall in parts. That said the owner was very responsive and provided quickly the missing pan and blankets. The location is perfect so in the end we had a pleasant stay.

Amazing location! Great for a group!

We visited for Spring Break. The home was great! Perfect location a block from Ocean Drive. There is so much around to do. We were literally in the middle of everything. The only reason I am giving the house 4 out 5 stars is because it is a bit out dated. Nothing is wrong with it, just could use a few upgrades. Especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Also, we struggled with opening the lock box. It is positioned at a difficult angle. So it was a little frustrating since we had problems when coming & leaving. Overall, it was great! I would recommend.

Adorable apartment close to all the shopping and action of South Beach

This two bedroom is fairly spacious and the location can't be beat. It's very close to shopping, night clubs (Mango is 2 blocks away) and the beach. Be aware, however, that you need to find your own parking - there is public parking a block away for $20 a day - and there is no elevator. You will have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs to the third floor.
