“We read the reviews and were intrigued. We stayed in winter, and it is cold in Bothwell. It would have been much more inviting if the hosts had the heater running prior to our arrival, but once the property warmed up after a few minutes the shock of how cold it was faded away. We stayed in the 1837 cottage. The accommodation is rustic, eclectically furnished and decorated, and gives an appreciation of life in times gone by. If you are after elegant, refined and well finished accommodation...

“Our stay started off with a warm welcome at check in from John and his trusty sidekick Rex. To our surprise we were given an amazing hamper of locally sourced essentials and treats. Things only got better from there. The cottage was extremely well equipped and very comfortable, it felt like a home away from home. Within walking distance to to everything in Bicheno and right at one of the main swimming beaches, this Tassie shack comes with all the amenities you need and that will make for a relaxed and happy stay. It's a secluded property and beautifully furnished.”

“Fantastic property right by the Tyenna River. Our family of 4 enjoyed using the it as a base to explore the surrounding areas. The river was a big hit with the kids trying their luck at fishing. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable. Thank you for sharing this special spot with us, we loved our stay.”

“A great location for driving to other parts of Launceston and surrounding areas. The apartment was spacious and was as shown in the photos. The provision of some essential kitchen supplies was appreciated. The only down sides were that while the bathroom was recently renovated unfortunately the door could not be fully closed. Kitchen cleaning may need a little more attention as grease covered one of the elements (easily removed by heating the element) on an otherwise clean stove and the cups...
