“This hotel looks like you stepped into 1980. The front door had a gap that let in light and cold air. The wallpaper was peeling. There were scuff marks on the walls and door. The bathroom fixture was open and you could see exposed wiring. Some outlet plates were also open. The one lamp had non working electrical outlets. The room smelled musty. The beds were comfortable and the shower had reasonable pressure.”

“Great place to stay. Super clean and comfortable. We truly appreciated how much thought went into the room— especially the granola from their restaurant and the bag of ice in the freezer, even the glassware options were great to have. They seem to have thought of everything. We loved enjoying the fire pit before bed. We would definitely stay at the Alander again!”

“Nicely styled self-serve hotel; comfortable and quite cool. Unfortunately, the hotel also hosted a man who, around 2:00 am, used the lobby space for a (loud)- Spanish? Italian? - video call for a trans-atlantic meeting. Very loud for about 30 minutes or more; when I asked him to take his call outside, he told me he was almost finished and then continued his conversation for another 10 or 15 minutes, Not the hotel's fault, but it will be a lasting memory of my night in Hudson.”

“It does not seem there are Kings beds despite advertising/offering of such. Room has a full and a twin and no, they cannot be pushed together. The entire room is tiny. I mean tiny. My bf knees touched shower curtain when sitting on toilet and could not shut door-tiny. We did not attempt to use shower because so small. That being said, it satisfies what we needed it for-it was inexpensive as rates go, it was clean, the AC worked well as did the tv. Honestly I’d give 2.5.”

The room was spotlessly clean from the moment we walked in, which made a big difference after a long day of travel.
