A Hidden Gem

Other than the weather everything was perfect. The property is super well-equipped. Everything functioned as it was supposed to especially the elevator which was used by 2 members of our party. We plan on staying there again. The setting is peaceful and very relaxing.

Amazing home .. right on the ocean

Everything about this home was wonderful. It was big, clean with incredible views of the ocean. We had an issue with the air conditioning but our host was very responsive throughout our stay.

Beautiful Broadkill Beach House

We enjoyed our vacation at this beautiful Broadkill beach house. It has a beautiful view of the bay. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. The owner supplied all of the essentials you usually have to bring with you to a beach house rental — sheets, towels, paper products, soaps and basic kitchen essentials. The house is in a quiet area but close enough to Lewes and Rehoboth. We had a wonderful stay with our family.

Fabulous Week!

The house was absolutely beautiful both inside and out. Virginia is the ultimate hostess providing most everything needed to make your trip very enjoyable and relaxing. We found the house to be very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again!

Lovely beach home just steps from Broadkill Beach

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this spacious, very nicely furnished home right on the beach. The kitchen is huge and well equipped, and the bedrooms are large and comfortable. The home has everything you could want and need -- beach chairs, plenty of towels, kayak, large open back deck with water view, and much more. The home is just steps from the beach. The beach was quiet (we stayed in early October), and the water was great for kayaking and swimming. Virginia (the owner) is very responsive to any questions and provided excellent instructions about her property. We would stay at this beach home again without hesitation.

Clean, peaceful retreat

We were looking for a peaceful getaway and this is it! Virginia is responsive and communicative. The kitchen and home are well stocked all around; Virginia even provided firewood for an on-beach campfire. Beautiful views of the water and sunrises are stunning!

Peace and Quiet

Virginia was very warm and accommodating. Her instructions were easy to follow. The rooms were large, comfortable and nicely decorated. It was a definite plus that Virginia stocks the house with your necessary first night items so running to the supermarket is not a day 1 priority. Thank you Virginia!

Great Time with Family for our first time in DE on Broadhkill Beach area

This was more then what we expected as for the home. It was very nice all around, it was perfect for my sister in-law who's handicap with the elevator and the bedrooms all worked out perfect for everyone. The owner was great in talking with and very helpful. My grandchildren had the best time in the bay as the waves weren't near the size as in the ocean so this was great for them to swim. I had spent more time in the bay / ocean water surf fishing, swimming with my grandchildren and having so much fun in the sun. Love the local corner store. Very good Pizza and owned by a local resident. Beach has may horseshoe crabs lying around the beach, but you need to know the history and their spawning to understand why there's so many. The owner was great in supplying the paper items and towels for everyone. The house had plenty of windows which I love watching the sunrise come over the water in the morning. Very relaxing and away from many people, felt like a small local resident area which was perfect for us. We put the full container out with the trash Wed., evening, they didn't come around until Friday to pick up the Trash. When we left Saturday morning, no ones recycles had been picked up yet Some green flies made it to the beach, but not many. Sprayed bug repellent on and it seemed to keep them away or do as I did, go into the water and enjoy it :) Overall - We had a great time, took plenty of pictures, and made many memories to last a life time We look forward in going back again next year Kevin

Fabulous Family Vacation

Three generations of our family just returned from a fabulous vacation! The house is exquisite! No detail was left undone ... able to walk out to the beach, well stocked kitchen, lovely linens, puzzles for kids of all ages, some paper products already in the house, beautifully decorated, beach towels and toys, large deck, plus lots more ... one of the best we have rented through VRBO ... thank you Virginia!

Lovely home!

Lovely home just steps from the beach. First time on bay side and it was great for the littles. Beach wasn’t crowded which was fabulous but flies can be a bit pesky. Nature is what it is! Overall a wonderful stay :)

Virginia was so sweet- she called us prior to leaving and on our first day. We have 3 little ones so the house had plenty of room and a great kitchen to cook. The beach had calm waves for the kids to play and collect seashells. My only issue is that the house right next door was under construction. They worked on that house all 7 days we were there, often playing loud music. There were times we couldn't enjoy the outdoor deck because it was just too loud. While I know Virginia had no control over that, I dont think I would have paid this price for a home where I couldn't even sit outside during the day. If you are a family that will spend all day at the beach, it wont bother you. However, with a little one who naps, we wanted to spend some time on the deck and were unable too.

Lovely off-season getaway in a Less Traveled Part of Delaware

We really loved this home and all of the thoughtful touches from the fresh flowers on our arrival to the comfy beds. My family and my sister's family came during Spring Break for a change of pace from our lives in the DC area. We had a four year old and 7 year old with us. They loved staying in the kids room with all its lovely touches including stuffed animals to visit with. The view from the deck and the master bedroom are gorgeous and expansive. All of the rooms have lovely contemporary beach decor and the house was clean and tidy. We were super impressed that unlike other VRBO/AirBB rentals, this place had everything covered including toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, sponges, an uber well stocked kitchen and even some starter food to include condiments, etc. Normally, we bring all these things with us. Virginia was a great host, communicating frequently before the booking and checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. The location is a short drive north from Rehobeth (@ 20 mins), and definitely off the beaten path. The ocean is much calmer here, and Broadkill beach is definitely less commercial than its counterparts of Dewey, Rehobeth etc. So be prepared for a different kind of beach experience than those places. We hope to return sometime soon!

Perfect Off-season Vacation while Remote Schooling

This beautiful beach home is truly a great place to stay. The walk out to the beach and the water views from almost every window in the home are some key features, but the home itself is very comfortable and well appointed. We loved it and hope to go back in warmer weather. Our host accomodated our children's remote schooling (during Covid-times) by providing a printer, paper, and excellent Wi-Fi. My three children were able to attend school without any interruptions. The nearby hiking, state parks, and outlet shopping made this an excellent place to socially distance, rest, read, and enjoy nature.

Wonderful, peaceful place to relax and recharge

Virginia’s home is as advertised. Clean, secure, well appointed and easy to be able to relax in. All of this during a challenging year for all of us trying to stay healthy. I so appreciate Virginia’s attention to this and her clarity on how her property was cleaned and prepared for our stay. It was also quite comfortable and situated with a beautiful view.

Great Family Beach Stay

We loved Virginia's house - very modern and clean with many amenities. We have three children (9, 7 and 5) and being right on the beach provided a wonderful chance for them to spend all day on the beach. Was wonderfully secluded.

Beach trip

The house is very nice, proximity to the beach is great. It may just be a function of when we were there, but the bugs (outside the home) were a little overwhelming at times.
