“I had a night's stop over at Banbury and chose Ashlea Guest House based on the positive reviews. I was not disappointed. I had a warm welcome from Julie and a quick check-in. Julie gave me a map of the locale and pointed out places to eat. My room was clean and had everything I needed - a super-comfortable kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom with plenty of hot water via an electric shower, big fluffy towels and some nice touches such as magnifying makeup mirror, cotton wool pads and buds. “The location sits beside the river Ouse. Beautiful location. Restaurants, shops, mall, all nearby. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Housekeeping was immaculate and checked in with me daily to see if I needed anything. The restaurant was fabulous, outside seating and reasonably priced. I made this home for two weeks while I visited from Seattle. One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed and I will definitely return here when I come back again. Highly recommended!”

“easy access, lovely spacious room, good central location & ample secure parking. Only grumble was that we left windows open and there was a lot of traffic noise in the morning - should have used the fan (provided) instead, so our mistake. Plus, some of the UHT milks and decaf coffee sachets provided were out of date. Overall however, would definitely stay there again”

“A really nice place to stay with a lovely hostess (very helpful!) We got our room just under the roof. A lot of stairs (but everyday exercise is good for you!) Lovely view out over nearby area through roof window. The beds was on each side of the bathroom so not something fir lovers but after nearly 30 years marriage it doesn't matter. Good English breakfast, made while waiting. Could take some time but definitely worth the wait! :) If ever nearby again, we sure will check out Alexandra...

“Only 2 issues I had,, very minor but not knocking the place,, tv Ariel had to move for every channel,, an lights on out side al night came threw windows so hard night kip,,, black out blinds my be an option,,,, but was an exelent stay an would stay again,”
