“Lovely pub with rooms in a beautiful village setting. The rooms are fairly small but clean, cozy and looks recently renovated. Well appointed with all the things you need.
Breakfast was cooked fresh to order, with tea, coffee, juices and cereal also available.
All staff were very friendly and helpful.
This is apparently a community owned pub/B&B owned by the village, so deserves to be well supported. Top marks from me, and thoroughly recommended!”
“Our fourth stay at the Metropole in recent years.A privilege to stay in such a unique historic building, with yes a little patina around the edges. If you dont embrace the nostalgia then budget chain's are available. The staff here are so good,as is the breakfast and the pool and spa facility.A great location for roadtrips around mid Wales, and a huge car park.”
“Room not properly stocked with tea bags etc Dust on stand and skirting boards. Door would not open fully as got stuck on the floor. Two single beds but not a lot of room to manoeuvre around banged legs on it. kitchen at breakfast - there was no butter 2nd morning and lack of mugs. Food in restaurant- ceasar salad was a big disappointment, chicken overcooked and salad not right leaves for ceasar salad. However staff...
“Good location in beautiful scenery not far from some walks. On a main road but it was completely silent at night. Suite was lovely and bigger than expected, with beautiful views, and a very modern bathroom with a fab shower. The bed did have a weird slope to it though which put our feet higher than our heads! Food in the pub at dinner time was expensive and average, although breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Enjoyed our stay very much. ”
