Our beach home is a little slice of coastal simplicity surrounded by nature, nestled between the ocean, the river and the bush.

Inside, you’ll find a sun-drenched open living area that flows to a big outdoor verandah perfect for morning coffees, long lunches, or stargazing.

It has everything you need and nothing you don’t, thoughtfully designed for families, couples, or a small group of friends who appreciate nature and laid-back living.

The location

Hazel Road is tucked away in a peaceful pocket of Moruya Heads.

Moruya South Beach is your nearest stretch of sand, 2km by car or an easy ride away, offering uncrowded waves and stunning sunrises.

Shelly Beach is an excellent protected spot for swimming. It is just 3km away (6 minutes by car).

A bit further under 20 minutes drive, you will have access to other well protected swimming and snorkelling beaches (Shark Bay, Malua Bay), and other excellent surf spots (Broulee and the Congo).

The beautiful Moruya River is just a short walk 300m away — perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, or fishing.

You’re 8 minutes drive from the town for great coffee and supplies, but far enough to hear the birds in the morning and see the stars at night.

Moruya fresh food markets (Tuesdays from 3pm) are award winning with fresh local produce and seafood, bakery goods, cheeses are available.

If you would like a round of golf, the Moruya Golf Club is just 7 min away.

Important things to note:

If you’re looking for a full-service, luxury experience, our place may not be the best match. Our hut is all about a down-to-earth, self-sufficient getaway. We want every guest to enjoy their stay, so if the house rules and expectations don’t sound like your cup of tea, we completely understand.

- We provide fresh linen for your stay, however, please make your own bed when you arrive and strip it before you leave, and place used linen and used towel in the basket in the laundry.

- If you would like beds made, subject to availability it could be provided for an extra fee of $35 per bed.

- We ask guests to kindly clean up afterwards including the kitchen and BBQ. We will have to pass on a cleaning fee of $50 if the BBQ is left dirty.

- We provide a wide range of supplies (e.g. cereal, tinned tomatoes, spices, olive oil and detergent). We kindly ask guests to take out your rubbish as you leave.

- To keep this experience sustainable for everyone, we kindly ask that you report on the condition/cleanness of the house when you arrive.
