âI've stayed at Manuela's 4 times now on each trip to Lagos and it's become my home away from home. I love the place. It's quiet and understated yet has all you need- pool, gym, spa and best of all an authentic Italian restaurant that has great pizza and pasta dishes... the owner is Italian and eats there with his Italian mom every night... their high standards ensure the finest imported Italian ingredients and delicious, perfectly cooked food... as well as liquors (grappa!) and excellent...

âWe loved Protea Hotel and it's staff. The manager was excellent, he really went out of his way to make us comfortable. We even were able to keep the room until 4 PM the day we checked out. Very friendly, service minded and attentive staff. We will definately come back to Protea Hotel when in Lagos!â
âThe reception had me wait for hours before I got my room. They said they couldn't see my booking in their system and they were not willing to help me even when I showed them my booking confirmation and receipt showing that I had payed. They did not make any effort to solve the problem and after several hours my booking showed up in their system, after that I finally got my room. Really disappointed with the lack of service and willingness to give me as a guest a good welcome.â
âThe staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. They were amazing. The food was great. My only complaint is the musty smell as if the room had not been used in a while. The AC kept us comfortable. The food and room service was great! I will definitely stay here again. â
