“Pros: - Great location for enjoying Mt Sunapee area - The common areas were great - Very easy and smooth check-in and check-out. - Great value for the price (Possible) Cons: - This wasn't an issue for me, but there is no staff on location. I didn't need anyone at all, but just in case you want to interact with a human when you check in or check out, you won't find that.”

“Morning coffee. Microwave. Morning sun room. Very quiet. Last night was coolest. Unable to adjust heat to comfort level. Did not see check out info until after departure b-4 11AM.”

“Very clean and easy to “self check in”. It is a nice setting too. We felt safe. The bed, for me was very hard and the pillows were more like morning pancakes. The pillows really need to be replaced. I did not sleep well. Over all a nice place. ”

“Check in was easy, the entire house was spotless, comfortable accommodations. We stayed one night and it was perfect for a stopover.”

“What a wonderful spot the Shaker Bear Cottage is!! We were in New London for a Colby Sawyer college reunion, and this was the most perfect place to stay. Our hosts Tom and Kem are wonderful, and their cottage is so lovely—-spotless, well appointed with anything we would need (kitchen, bathrooms) and was tradition New England decor. We loved our visit!!!”

“I loved the place. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. We decided to go away for a night for our 23rd anniversary and brought our young teen children with us. They had zero complaints as well.”

“Very safe, beautiful wooded mountain area, lovely trees, big open farmers porch. Comfortable old inn! ”

“Very convenient to stay close to family. The beds were comfortable. The AC kept turning off and was glitchy. We reached out to the property manager and let her know we got it figured out, however we never heard from her.”

“The place was nice and clean. It is far from places to eat. B&B’s just aren’t what they use to be. No breakfast’s served and no personal contact.”

“You need carpeting upstairs- the amount of stomping around at 530am over the weekend was frustrating. I also understand not serving food right now- however to expect guests to not eat in the comfort of their own rooms and expecting them to eat out in a common area but not serving food is a little hypocritical to be honest. The facility was nice, i liked being able to come and go as i pleased. ”

“Pros: --Safe --Quiet --Clean --Comfortable --Historic Cons: --was without any water for bathing for ~24 hours --I asked for consideration due to the lack of water, and I received no response to that request and was still charged full price”

“The house was perfectly located for accessing Mount Sunapee and housing 2 families with kiddos. Julie & Derek were very prompt with their responses and had great suggestions. Would love to stay with them again.”
