“This was a refurbished bunkhouse from an old cattle ranch. The remodeling was very well done, keeping as much historical architecture as possible, but providing modern functionality when needed. Your host, Robert, is a well-known artist who has provided a jacuzzi and sauna along with an art center that features work from local artists. Many hiking opportunities along with stargazing in the area. We'll be back!”

As a first-time visitor to the area, I expected at least a general location or address ahead of time so I could plan my trip and know where I was heading. Unfortunately, the hosts refused to provide any address until right before check-in at 3PM. While I understand safety and privacy concerns, not giving guests any sense of location in advance makes it very difficult to plan, especially when traveling to an unfamiliar city. “Very comfortable stay! Two pretty patios one right on the golf course with a beautiful view of the water, fountain & ducks! The front patio offers quiet respite. Excellent & quick communication with the owners and directions were thorough and concise. We would definitely choose to stay here again.”

“Over all it was a clean property. Carpet needs replaced. Well stocked. For us I was surprised by how many outdoor cameras they had up I think I noticed 5 for a small outside area. Overall for the price it was a decent place to hang out. ”

“Another Thanksgiving with family. We had a great stay… kitchen is fully stocked for a holiday meal, beds are comfortable and the wood burning stove is perfect! About a 30-40 min walk into Idyllwild but not a difficult one. Quiet neighborhood. Enjoyed the annual tree lighting. Only thing that would have made it that much better would’ve been some snow. Merry Christmas! ”
