“Well-kept and unique little home in the hills above town. Perfect getaway for me and my wife. Very quiet and secluded, but still very close to the main attractions in Pioche. We walked everywhere in town from the house. No need to drive. Wi-Fi worked great. Kitchen was modern and and functional. Bathroom and shower were clean. Check-in as seamless. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. ”

“When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees. “It was perfect for preparing for a wedding and having the kitchen to use. The beds were comfortable. I would like to have had the heat in the house at a warmer temp since we arrived after dark and the thermostat was at 50 degrees. ”
