“We really enjoyed a stay in Portland. This property was exactly what we needed for 4 adults. Very clean, hosts were responsive, close to the river, downtown and parks. Only glitch was payment was not taken through VRBO and not infomation was provided.We had to Vemo owners. Gate codes were not sent as indicated in emails, but host provide codes over the phone.”

“My daughter and I stayed here while participated in the 2024 Columbia Gorge Marathon (her) and half (me). This was the perfect “home” to base from. Close to the event, but not right in the middle of it all. In fact the marathon course passed right by it. The location was very clean and stocked. The beds were also comfortable and well appreciated. We would absolutely stay here again. ”

“We love the Thunderhead Lodge and have stayed in many of the rooms. We love this place. The only thing I could say negative is that the pool is no longer 102 degrees. The heater doesn’t work as well and they’ve tried to fix it but it isn’t working still. It was about 92 degrees according to the owner who’s in a law suit with the company that fixed it. So hopefully they get it back to where it was because if it’s windy outside at all during the winter, it’s unbearable to go in.”

“Overall a nice condo that is in a great location. Of note to those with small children, the floorboards by the bedrooms are very loud and creaky. The walls are also very thin and sound travels through all the bedrooms. The two bedrooms also share a bathroom, which is challenging if there are kids sleeping in each room, you’ll need to use the downstairs bathroom if you don’t want to go through the bedroom. “We came to Hood River to visit and spend Thanksgiving with our daughter and husband. The location was easy to access, close to their home, and downtown. The place was warm and cozy for our needs. Furniture was clean and comfy. The bed didn’t disappoint. Having 2 full baths was a treat, too! Having fresh Hood River coffee beans made that first cup of coffee start the day off great! “We came in for the marathon and luckily this place was still available. Welcoming for all and it was a smooth process ideal location with great views. Clean and as it was described would visit again ”

“The inside of the condo looks like a cabin and is really nice. The outside of the building looks dingy and unkept. The location is nice and walking distance to restaurants and the general store. There were a few issues: I found an old razor on the window sill in one of the bathrooms, they didn’t have an iron and ironing board even though I was told there was going to be one and no AC (they did provide fans).”
