“Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat is a hidden sanctuary. We hit the jackpot when we were searching for accommodation in the area to attend a wedding. “The Byron at Byron offers such a beautiful space to relax and recharge. The surrounding nature and the pool area is amongst the best. The staff at the reception is really service minded. The team in the restaurant and at the pool is also great but does not feel as "on the ball" as the team at the reception. We had breakfast one morning and it was 3.5/5, and we had lunch by the pool one day and it was 4/5. It was our second stay and we'll be coming back again.”

“There is no staff on location, so if anything goes wrong, you get a sorry via text. The main phone number is disconnected. You can't actually reply to the text that they send you the information from. Personally I'd give it a wide birth.”

“Pet froendly nice environment. However the door locker to enter was very hard to open. The handle of a sauce pan needed to be screewed back. Very dangerous. The key bosrd numbers to enter the boomgate were hsrdly visible.”

“Fully renovated rooms above the bar and bistro in the centre of town. Parking at rear could be a problem but we snared the last spot at the time on arrival. Staff were most helpful and changed our allicated riom to the rear and not above the bar. Most appreciated. Good use of space in rooms with kitchenette facilities including stovetop hotplates but no utensils for their use. Good ensuite space. Comfortable bed and pillows. Great bar and bistro downstairs for an easy relaxing evening.”
