“The house was the perfect setting for our family vacation. It had four separate Bedrooms that fit our family's needs perfectly. The beds were comfortable and three of them had en-suite bathrooms, making it very private for most everyone. The layout of the house provided lots of room for everyone to do their own thing, even though we spent most of the time on the back deck enjoying the beautiful sunny weather and breathtaking view of Orwell Cove. “This was a great place to stay. The property is very interesting and historic and the renovations that were done made it very modern and comfortable. It is incredibly spacious and a great place to have a relaxing vacation. The area is also very peaceful and a great place to relax. There is convenience store nearby and a great restaurant just down the street. There’s plenty to see in the area and even beaches a short drive away.”

The only drawback was the bugs and mosquitoesThe walks on the red sandy beaches at the doorstep were incredible and watching the spectacular sunsets were memorable. We highly recommend this well cared for home and property. that were hard to manage even with our own bug spray. ”

“We chose this site as it is close to where we were working. However, the sunrises and sunsets at this location and in a beautiful room full of windows were gorgeous!! It would be a neat place to stay for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen is also nice and all utensils we needed were there to prepare individual meals or shared meals for the four of us!!”

“The Purple House is a wonderful place to stay. Having the wharf right there was great. Watching the fishing boats coming in, the beautiful sunsets and the ability to see the tide come in was a great experience.The house is full of history. “We were here to golf for 6 days in the area. The house was perfect for our needs. Super clean, airy and fresh Scandanavian design.Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked, high end appliances with dishes, pot and pans, cleaning products (if we needed them), fresh towels. Janette is the perfect host. Easily accessible by phone or through the booking app. Lovely property!”

“This lovely home tucked away in nature was the perfect getaway for my family of 6. We were so spoiled with all the amenities, the space, and the access to an essentially private beach. My boys had a blast all week outside. Gabe was very wonderful to deal with our booking. Minnie who was very lovely, met us our 1st day to show us around and she was very prompt to answer any questions that we had. We didn't want for anything. Truly fantastic experience. It was newly renovated, beautifully and tastefully decorated, clean and comfy in all aspects - from the beds to the living room couches with pull out foot rests and the lounge furniture on the front deck. The place was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The owner has thought through lots of extra touches to help make your stay more enjoyable (eg. portable chairs and kayaks for the beach, picnic...

“Spacious, clean, comfortable, modern beach house with exceptionally well–equipped gourmet kitchen.Peaceful/relaxing and oh..that spectacular view!Had a wonderful time with our family of four but could easily accommodate more than twice that many.We especially enjoyed the screened-in decks with the provided binoculars for bird/wildlife watching.Alex was a good host and we would gladly stay there again without hesitation!”
