Two-Bedroom Cottage Located within the Historic Wachesaw Plantation

  • Cozy Coastal Cottage is a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath two story cottage nestled among the Live Oaks in the gated golf course community of Wachesaw Plantation. It is within walking distance to club amenities. This property features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances including a microwave and dishwasher, as well as a large kitchen, washer, dryer, central heat and air conditioning, and ceiling fans. Three TVs (55-inch TV in living room, 55-inch and 40-inch TVs in bedrooms, Roku) and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king and one queen-sized bed. A port-a-crib and highchair is also provided for guests with small children. Outdoor amenities include a covered front porch with rocking chairs and swing, screened-in back porch, private backyard, and gas grill. Please note, the fireplace is non-operational. Wachesaw Plantation amenities include the award-winning, Tom Fazio designed golf course, Kimbels Restaurant overlooking the 18th green and majestic Waccamaw River, tennis on the lighted Har - Tru clay courts, pool complex, and Magnolia's Pool Bar. This property is a duplex. Only two parking spaces are allotted per cottage. Additional cars will be removed at the tenant's expense. Overflow parking is available elsewhere within the community. Trash pick-up at the cottage is every Thursday. Dog-friendly. Limit two dogs - 70-pound maximum weight limit if bringing one dog, 50-pound maximum weight limit per dog if bringing two. Please see dog-friendly property agreement for details or contact the office for pet policy. No smoking. Check-out maid service is included. Linens included. Maximum occupancy: 4

First Family Visit to Murrells Inlet

Reviewer Comments: This was our first trip to Murrells Inlet as our family spent the first week of vacation in Hilton Head and ventured up to the Cozy Coastal Cottage for our second week away. We really loved Murrells Inlet and explored all around the area including Huntington Beach State Park, Pawley's Island, and Myrtle Beach. The Cottage was a perfect retreat after busy days at the beach, mini golf, dinners out, round of golf, and Myrtle Beach area fun. A few pros and cons for us below:Pros:-Very quiet, Gated community -The cottage was well cleaned upon our arrival-Lovely, oversized, naturally bright kitchen with beautiful windows-Lovely front farmers porch with porch swing and rocking chairs-Large, comfortable bedrooms with attached full bathrooms-Even though it is an attached duplex, the home is quiet and private -Dog friendly -Community pool was a great plus!-Gorgeous grounds and well cared for vegetation -Proximity to a great golf course on property -Good air conditioning, responsive maintenance support after the air conditioning had a minor issue, the maintenance team fixed it within a few hours-thank you!Cons:-The master bedroom mattress needs to be replaced it's very soft and slanted-Curtains in the bedrooms fit oddly to the windows which made it hard to keep out the light-Shower drain master bath shower was broken. It needs to be replaced.We had such a wonderful stay and so enjoyed exploring Murrells Inlet and the surrounding area. We look forward to returning!

The screen porch is a great place for morning coffee or nighttime relaxing. The king bed in the master bedroom is super comfortable. Check in/out was very simple and convenient. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I cancelled my vacation months ahead of time paid half of vacation rental cost upfront. Also purchased trip cancellation insurance also. What a scam the insurance doesn’t work they do anything not pay claims. Long story short I’m out $1200. I’m retired on social Security that’s money we can’t afford to lose.

The Wachesaw Plantation is an idyllic setting, very well maintained, quiet and with golf, tennis, a lovely swimming pool with cafe, and the Kimbles restaurant. Property was bright and airy, fitting the description of the details and looked after after us well for the 2+ weeks that we stayed there. I would certainly recommend it as a place to stay for a quiet get away.

They were able to set up hair & makeup people in the dining room area and still enjoy the kitchen for food and the living room for gathering. My daughter was thrilled she could bring her dog to enjoy in the festivities also. I would highly recommend renting this cottage to anyone!
