Die Anlage ist meilenweit von dem entfernt, wie sie beschrieben wird. Das riesige Areal war wie ausgestorben, beim Abendessen waren wir alleine in einem großen Speisesaal, vergleichbar mit einer Bahnhofshalle, die Speisekarte war ein Fake, denn es gab nur ein Gericht und das war mässig. Das Frühstück war mehr als mäßig. Der Pool war verschmutzt und nur zum Teil gefüllt. Auch hier keine Gäste. Das weitläufige Areal hat schon längere Zeit keine Pflege erhalten. Die Einrichtung der großen Zimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Fenster waren nicht zu öffnen, die sanitären Anlagen bräuchten eine Generalüberholung, lockere Wasserhähne, mässiger Wasserdruck. Man hatte den Eindruck, dass die Bulldozer für den Abriss schon in den Startlöchern stehen. Schade, war sicherlich vor Jahren traumhaft.

Huge hotel that has seen much better days, the rooms are big and comfortable but the pool area is dismal , the breakfast is good and the food is ok , the service is good and the staff polite ,all in all a bit of a mixed bag !

Weitläufige Anlage mit vielen Bungalows
Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber, allerdings bedarf es an einigen Stellen der Renovierung. So war einer der Lichtschalter neben dem Bett defekt, im Poolbereich sollte das Sonnendach repariert werden. Das Personal ist freundlich. Insgesamt ist die Anlage sehr weitläufig.

Kind of a hidden gem, for the price. Barka is close to several amazing Wadi hikes. This property is a unique concept and the villas are spacious. Far better than we hoped for in booking. Check it out.

The facility is very old and is not maintain properly, you can easily see the trash and empty bottles around the area. the pool bar was closed and calling to receive any services taking ages. Breakfast was very limited and many item were not fresh !!! Is not worth the money.

Lovely surroundings and nice apartments, just a shame the resort looked tired. The jacuzzi and lazy river was closed and the resort was a ghost town. Many tiles missing from the swimming pool.

Very Nice
Wonderful place! Staff is fantastic, friendly and very helpful. Some of the amenities were under renovation such as the steam tunnel. It can use some updating. Nevertheless it is a lovely place. I can only imagine what us was like when it first open.

PATHETIC. SOME staff unbelievably RUDE
TLDR : The security guard closed barrier ON roof of my car AND started aggressively fighting with me. Details: We parked outside of the resort as the small inside parking was full. At the time of checkout I was bringing my car inside to pick bags and my family from the reception pickup area. While I was entering the premises and my car was under the barrier, the security guard closed the barrier on my car (apparently to show his anger because the inside parking was full). The barrier hit the roof of my car and it got stuck under it. I honked several times before he decided to open the barrier. When I got out of the car, he approached me and instead of apologizing he started to shout aggresively on me. When I told them I am going to the reception to complain, the two security guards tried to physically stop me. Anyhow, locked my car in spot and brought front desk manager to the scene. He told me that they will take some action. From his body language and from the quality of services at the place, I don't think they will do anything. If the decided to do something and informed me then I'll update here. Others: The other staff was polite. The pool wasn't temperature controlled so it was bit cold. There wasn't hot/warm water in the (disgusting/smelly) shower & toilet area near the pool. It took five calls and few hours of wait for the iron. The breakfast was okay, not great. There were flies on the platter of cheese

Al Nahda Weekend Break
The resort is relatively remote, so sightseeing in Muscat or sitting on the beach is not really practical, but if you're looking to get away and do nothing this is a good option. The rooms are spacious, clean and reasonably well appointed. There was only 1 restaurant open while we visited, it has a limited menu but the food was good, although I'm sure you'd exhaust the choices if you stayed for a week. The spa facilities were very good, I would recommend this for anyone looking for a purely relaxing short break. The biggest disappointment was the grounds themselves, the more you walk around the more you notice the areas in need of maintenance or replacement.

Nice quiet resort
Resort vast but just a little tired. We stayed in low season and very quiet- not all facilities open but management did their best not to let it affect too much - e.g. Set up telephone ordering from pool as that bar closed. Meals a bit hit and miss again due to low season. Staff very good and friendly. Evening entertainment a little dull and bar was popular with locals . I'm sure it's better in high season!

A/C was not working in Bedroom when we checked in. It is difficult to close the main door. Next day morning a A/c in the main hall was not working. There was no parking inside the resort need to park our vehicle outside unattended.

Anlage sehr schwer zu finden; vor 9 Jahren waren wir schon einmal in diesem Resort, anscheinend ist in der Zwischenzeit nix gemacht worden; etwas verlottert, eine Renovierung ist erforderlich. Beispiele : defekte Gartenmöbel wurden in der Anlage sichtbar gestapelt; abgeschnittene Äste lagen schon lange im Garten, viele Pool - Liegenauflagen waren geplatzt und verdreckt. Unser Zimmer : es fehlten ein Bademantel, ein Paar Pantoffel, normale Handtücher; Safe war defekt

Introuvable!
Hôtel très mal indiqué,voire introuvable un comble...de nombreuses zones du resort sont laissées à l'abandon et on a clairement l'impression d'être tout seul. La chambre est correcte sans plus, le buffet de petit-déjeuner est plutôt bien et copieux en revanche le buffet du soir est très chère et peu appétissant. Bref, je ne recommande pas cet hôtel.

Worst Reception desk ever bad attitude
I would say everything was not too bad but I had the worst stay ever when I came to the check in desk, the reception was so bad the way he treated me as a customer not respectful at all not friendly I would never ever stay in this resort again because of that Omani guy who isn't respecting the customers, I booked at this resort just to relax & have a good time but his attitude ruined the whole stay. Sorry about that but the other nationalities who used to work at the reception desk were way more respectful than that Omani guy...

Over rated resore should be 3 star not 5 star
This resort overstated when they say its 5 star resort. Maximum 3 star. or 3 1/2 star. The room service dont clean the room very good. Walking distance from lobby to room far away. 10 minutes walking. This hotel good to stay in it during fall and winter time not for summer time. Prices of the hotel nice not bad. Nothing near the resort you should have car to commute. WiFi was not working. This hotel good for privacy.

The complex is big
The complex is big therefore you need to call for a buggy to get you around if you do not want to walk in the heat. But this is not a problem as you do not have to wait long for a buggy to come to your room. The rooms are big and spacious and comfortably furnished. The beds are massive and very comfortable. The room was clean. The pool was lovely but watch out for the small tiles that are coming off as our child had a small cut on her foot from a tile that had broken off. We collected several that day to prevent others hurting themselves. The food was very good and the free breakfast buffet was as good better than expected. It was our anniversary and the housekeeping staff made up a fancy decoration of flower petals and towels into a heart design which made us feel special. This place would be excellent for a group of friends and family to stay. We will definitely come back.

Waren Mitte Februar im Al Nahda. Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend, Service gut. Zimmer sind relativ groß und schön eingerichtet. Nur war der Vorhang am Fenster zum Balkon verschmutzt, das sollte bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel definitiv nicht vorkommen, sah nicht gerade hygienisch aus. Anlage ist groß, weg zum Pool war weit. Ansonsten grün und gut gepflegt. Restaurant teuer, aber das Essen war gut. Im Großen und ganzen sehe ich das Hotel auch eher im Bereich 4 Sterne angesiedelt. Besuch aber empfehlenswert.

An oasis, faultless service - a desire to please.
A little paradise away from the hustle-bustle of Muscat. Lots of little problems with our suite, but the service was unbelievable. So friendly and so keen to put things right. There are some newr rooms which we were moved to on the second night, and these were faultless. Great pool, bikes to rent, free yoga lessons, a well-equipped gym and delicious food including an excellent breakfast. Faultless service - always accompanied by a smile.
