What was not to like about this charming and beautiful inn? It rates an extra star! The staff were warm and helpful to us both as guests and as tourists. Great suggestions for what to do, where to go and where to eat, and how to get there. The breakfast was delicious and 'overly' abundant, enough to feed an army or a teenage boy!

It was a small former family home still operated by the original owners daughter and grandson. They were very nice people, it like being friends in their home.

Fantastic stay! Everything was perfect from the large, comfortable, clean room in a great location in Nafplio to the amazing breakfast served every morning on our balcony by the extremely warm and knowledgeable mother and son hosts. We loved everything about Hotel Aetoma and would highly recommend to anyone.

Le meilleur de Nauplie.
Accueil exceptionnel du fils de la propriétaire… qui nous a décrit la ville. Maison de grand charme, tout comfort. Petit déjeuner grandiose préparé par la propriétaire. Juste 5 chambres mais une autre maison ouvre en face. Réservez bien à l’avance en été car cela dois s’arracher.

What a great hotel right in the middle of the Nafpolio tourist area. A beautiful B&B type hotel that was extremely clean and charming. Breakfast was huge (but eggs were cold unfortunately). Top recommendation.

Fantastic friendly family run hotel
Lovely stay in this family run hotel. They were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and you even had the added bonus of being able to be served out on your balcony. Hotel was in the perfect location, in the old town, within walking distance to the castle, bus station, shops, restaurants and the port. Would highly recommend this hotel.

From greeting/check-in to check out our stay was wonderful. Akis greeted us with a lovely overview of Nafplio including restaurant reservations. The room was clean and the bathroom shower was excellent. Breakfast is fantastic and large, with eggs done to our liking. Only minor thing was we felt the foam pillows were too puffy. We like down pillows. Awesome hotel!

Charming guesthouse, family owned service and attention to details. Just a short block walk to the busier cafe and shop streets of old town Nafplio. Abundant and tasty breakfast too.

This is the best hotel that we had during our stay in Greece in more than 2 weeks. It's a family run hotel and they've been staying in this block for more than 200 years! It's an amazing place, and the breakfast provided was amazing too! Definitely should stay here if you decide to go to Nafplio!

This hotel was the highlight of our trip. The owner, Panagiota, was incredibly helpful and accomodating. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was impeccable. Breakfast was delicious- she waited on us like we were royalty. I will definitely return and recommend to my friends and family to stay at the Aetoma Hotel.

Don’t miss out on this place!
We have made 10 trips to Europe in the past 3 years. This is by far, the best place we have stayed. Everything was above grade in all respects. The hosts were excellent, the WiFi was excellent, and the breakfast was beyond excellent. The hotel is family owned, and family run. Do yourself a favor, and stay here if you are ever in Napflion.

Outstanding breakfasts, good local advice, exceptional personal attention, memorable hosts who make you feel part of the family, and great comfort, all for a very reasonable price. No hesitation in giving Aetoma the highest recommendation. And Nafplion is a gem of a town - food, beach, history and close to some of the biggest names in Ancient Greek history.

Quite and confrable smal hotel in a beautiful old house on the most charming of Nafplio’s squares. Beautiful hotel in old Nafplio
Easily the best hotel we stayed in during our holiday touring Greece! A beautiful old house, exquisitely furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was served on the balcony in our room and was amazing quality, with home-made pastries and jam - delicious! Wonderful hospitality too which made us feel very welcome. Faultless! Congrats to the owners.

Notre séjour a été extraordinaire! Akis, sa maman et le personnel sont des plus accueillants et de bons conseils. Les petits déjeuners étaient succulents, salade de fruits et jus d'orange frais. Akis s'informait toujours de notre journée avec intérêt. Tout était impeccable. Si nous repassons par Nauplie, il est certain que nous y retournerons... cet hôtel fait partie de nos bons souvenirs du Péloponnèse...

This was our second stay at Aetoma, and just as delightful as the first in 2013. Akis and Pan welcomed us as old friends. They and their staff are incredibly friendly and cheerful. Akis is a mine of information on the city and its attractions, restaurants, etc, but also on Greek history and politics past and present. It is a real pleasure talking with him about this. The hotel has been sympathetically restored and is beautifully furnished. It is in a great location in the centre of the old town with a great choice of restaurants and cafes nearby. However, you may not need them, because the breakfasts are awesome! Always freshly made with a huge choice including eggs prepared to your order.

Hôtel charmant, propre et très bien situé.
Un accueil extrêmement chaleureux. Le jeune homme a tout fait pour nous mettre à l'aise, aider à monter les valises, expliquer l'emplacement de l'hôtel par rapport aux attractions et la ville, suggérer des restaurants. L'hôtel est très bien situé tout près de la section piétonnière et touristique de la ville et donne sur une petite place calme. Le stationnement est cependant un peu plus difficile et il faut parfois trouver un endroit un peu plus éloigné. La chambre était très comfortable et le balcon donnant sur la petite place très agréable pour l'apéro. Salle de bain propre et fonctionnelle, et climatisation. Le matin, un petit déjeuner délicieux et plus que copieux. Bref un excellent rapport qualité/prix et un emplacement idéal pour visiter la charmante petite ville de Nauplie, Grèce.

Très bon rapport qualité/prix.
Les propriétaires (fils et sa mère) sont charmants. Le déjeuner est copieux et excellent. De bons gâteaux maison sont notamment au menu...miam miam. Les propriétaires sont à l'écoute des clients et désirent réellement leur satisfaction. Franchement, je le recommande. Bien situé, propre et hôtes des plus accueillants.

Super hôtel familiale chaleureux. Le fils et la maman très gentils. Cette maison a été très bien modifié pour un hôtel. Très charmant. Près de tout. Pas de places de parque attitré mais nous avons eu de la chance en arrivant. Nous avons trouvé devant l'hôtel. Petit déjeuner sur notre balcon en tête à tête. Variée, fait maison, très bon. La famille est au petit soin.

The best Nafplio has to offer!
We arrived in the afternoon and were greeted by Akis who is the son of parents who own the property. He is a tremendous asset to your stay and familiar with the area. From sights to see and restaurants, his knowledge was invaluable. Breakfast was great... just too much food but all good. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. Probably one of the most comfortable bed's in our three weeks of touring Greece. We would highly recommend staying here.

A beautiful home in the style of most other Venetian buildings in Nafplia. The proprietors make you feel very important, though they do give you space, if you're worried about preserving your autonomy, as was I when I read other reviews about all of the attentions they bestow upon their guests. But it was a relief to see that Akis was waiting for us and even parked our car for us in the rare tight space at the base of the hotel. He hauled all our suitcases up the stairs for us and prepared a town map with hand-written names of good restaurants. He is extremely cosmopolitan and can speak English fluently. Be prepared for an orientation when you meet him. His mother cooks all of the breakfasts and is extremely accommodating if you need an earlier time because you have to catch a plane. She prepares a table for each guest (so not a buffet) and makes your eggs to order. It is very rare to find all of this. This family is absolutely committed to this industry. They truly take it to heart and it shows. There is not a detail that hasn't been attended to. Moreover, they get to know the individual tastes and proclivities of each of their guests! This is unprecedented in the history of my travels!!
