âStayed 2 nights to rest and recover before going to Tokyo. The hotel was a short walk from the station with idyllic scenery with beautiful Sakura and mountains.
The personelle were super nice and helpful. They provided a free bus ride to the snow monkey park.
The room was spacious and comfy. The hotel dinner and breakfast were amazing. Highly recommend the dinner.
The onsen was really hot which took some time getting used to but I think thatâs part of the experience.

Hotellet bjöd pĂ„ skjuts till tĂ„gstationen, till aporna i parken Jigokudani och till onsen, japanskt bad. Bad pĂ„ byns Ă€ldsta onsen, ett otroligt vackert och lyxigt bad i ett nĂ€rliggande hotell ingick i priset liksom lĂ„n av kimono och skor. Personalen var exceptionellt hjĂ€lpsamma och trevliga. âStayed 2 nights and had an AMAZING experience. Dinner was a fantastic experience. We enjoyed embracing the Japanese culture while wearing the Yukata throughout! Onsens were a great time. Highly recommended!!!â
âWe enjoyed our stay at Hotel Shiga Sunvalley. Loved the style of the Japanese rooms, it was very clean and the staff were exceptional!
Usui and staff helped up with any questions we had, ski rentals, keeping luggage after check out, shuttle bus information. Would stay with them again 10/10â
âLocation is good, opposite is the ski resort, which has good snow. Overall room was well maintained, public Onsen was nice too. However we came during early ski season, there is barely any restaurants opens. Hotel cafe food is a bit expensive, and not much choice (mainly western). If plan to stay may order half board instead, or tell hotel staff to reserve dinner before 10amâ

âWhat a delightful place to stay! Cannot praise the staff enough! They were all so helpful, friendly and accomodating. Some English speaking staff, who were honestly the best we met in our two week stay in Japan. We were told that they donât get many English-speaking visitors and we were the only ones there, which my teen son and I loved. We love immersing in the Japanese experience when visiting, and this hotel definitely offered this.
