  • Welcome to Herring Hideaway at Fin N' Feather Waterside Inn by KEES Vacations!
    The Fin N' Feather Waterside Inn by KEES Vacations is one of the last of its kind. Located on the Nags Head/Manteo Causeway, the Inn offers comfortable and well-appointed rooms and efficiencies overlooking the beautiful Roanoke Sound. The historic inn first opened in 1968 and closed in September of 2011 after a bout with Hurricane Irene. Now open after an extensive renovation, the Inn is perfect for anyone fishing the Outer Banks or surfing the Nags Head beaches.

    Herring Hideaway Fin N Feather Queen Standard room includes one Queen Bed, a full bathroom, a microwave, a coffee maker, and a mini fridge. This unit is on the first level of Fin and Feather and has a view of the water.

    Herring Hideaway at Fin N' Feather Waterside Inn is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! For a small one-time fee of $50, you can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.

    This property has 1 parking spot for guests.

    Check-In begins at 4pm. Your keyless entry code will begin granting access at this time.
    Check-Out is 10am.

    Parking passes are required for the Village Beach Club between May 28th and September 6th. Pricing is $10 daily or $35 weekly. The Village Beach Club pool is open from May 1 to October 1. The pool is open daily from 9:00am to 7:00pm.

The only thing that I would say is the bathroom could be a little bigger. But the room for my purpose was good. The room was sufficient for me. I also asked if they had other places to rent closer to the beach.

The room was basically clean. A couple of stray socks under the bed though, leads me to believe it was a quick clean. The coffee maker needed a thorough cleaning. I wouldn’t use it. The batteries had to be flipped to work the remote for the tv. Other than that the room was very nice, with a wonderful quaint view. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I think the place is more geared towards fishermen. It was very basic which was fine as we only stayed one night. The room has an odor when we arrived which was corrected once we started the a/c and ran it. It seemed to smell of stale air. We got seafood to bring back to the room and sat out on the dock and watched the sunset - it was beautiful.For the price, this was a good choice.
