Lost On Lost Colony

Our place is walking distance to the beach and Nags Head Town Park . There are some hiking trails to the Albemarle sound. Dowdy Park is also close. We are located in walking/ biking distance to great local restaurants, ice cream shops, surf shops, coffee shops, grocery stores, antique stores, yoga studios, YMCA and much , much more. The walk to Barnes St beach Access is about a 10 - 15 min walk less on bikes .
The space
Lost on Lost Colony has a great out door sitting area, relax with your coffee or tea in the morning. Coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and small refrigerator are available for your convenience. Great access to the beach or the park 10 minutes in either direction. We have bikes, umbrella, and beach chairs available for free (at your risk/responsibility) for your entire stay. We are close to SUP rentals and surf lessons. Art on the walls is done by all local artists, and is for sale upon request. You could park your car and walk or bike to most everything you need in Nags Head. We do live upstairs with the cats. We will either be at work or the beach most of the summer. We will be available to answer and questions you might have while staying in Nags Head.
***Due to Covid-19, we like to let our guest know we are not industrial cleaners. We Spray, bleach, and wipe between guests. We want all of our guests to feel safe and comfortable in our space***
Guest access
You have an outside shower , and a foot rinsing hose to get the sand off after a beach day. The entrance is around the side of the house with its own seating area filled with plants and a hammock is available upon request. We occasionally have a fire pit out back and you are welcome to join us. The motto is Beach,Sleep, Repeat!
Other things to note
Pretty much everything you need for a good beach stay is available here. We provide soap, shampoo, linens. Just don't forget your sunscreen and bathing suit!
There are 2 cats that live upstairs, you mostly won't notice them they are pretty lazy until dinner time!

If you enjoy visiting the beach from a local perspective, this VRBO is perfect! The super cozy, artfully decorated living space is located on the first floor of the owners home and ideal for 1 or 2 people. Beach chairs, umbrella, bikes, frig, microwave, utility sink, keurig, dishes/utensils, comfy bed, washer/dryer, outside sitting area, private entrance and middle of beach location are perfect! Check-in / check-out is easy and owners are friendly, helpful and quiet.

Best place ever‼‼‼

Super clean, super comfy bed, super quiet reading nook. Super cold AC. All the amenities of 5 star hotel but with greater privacy. Best experience ever‼especially love that there's no stairs to climb. Planning to stay here every year for our annual vacation.

We had a great time! The place was emaculant inside! The bed was comfortable, loved the decor very bohemian and artsy! Everything you need is available bikes, chairs, outside shower, kitchen fully stocked with essentials. Our host and hostess were great at helping and answering questions. We would definitely come back.again!

Nice little spot in Nags Head

Had a nice stay here. Process was easy from start to finish. Nice to have full-sized washer and dryer, a junior frig and a keurig. For us and the places we frequent in the OBX….Tortuga’s, Waveriders, Stack ‘em high and a short drive to public beach access…location was great.

Most comfortable bed ever!

Lisa and Cyrus were excellent hosts! They communicated well in advance and let us know what to expect. They accommodated our late arrival. The property was as advertised...better, in fact. We arrived after a very difficult drive. Lisa said, "It's a very comfortable bed." She was right! The bed is extremely comfortable. The apartment is small, but there is plenty of room for two people. The bathroom is a full-size bath with a curved shower rod (excellent choice!) and a shower head that my husband really appreciated. :Lisa and Cyrus have done an excellent job of utilizing the space they have, and it is tastefully, fashionably, and comfortably decorated. They have provided well for the needs of their guests - and have done so very practically but tastefully. One of the things I look for is the availability of towel hangers. Lisa and Cyrus have plenty, and they are placed where most needed. There is an outside seating area with bicycles available for guest use. The property is centrally located in OBX - almost equidistant between Corolla and Hatteras. We would definitely stay here again.

Quick Escape

What a great place to go for a quick escape! This place was perfect for me. The rental was so adorable, so much charm. I was on a solo trip but even if I had my partner with me the space would have been plenty. It was quiet, beautiful and perfectly located. I enjoyed the homeowners suggestions for places to explore and good eats! I’ll be back!

Lisa and Cyrus are exceptional hosts. We appreciated the spacious, clean and inviting quarters. All the little conveniences were thought of and provided. The location exceeded expectations as well - it's a quiet neighborhood and the beach is easily accessible, especially using the bicycles provided by the hosts. We biked everywhere, including along the coast and to Jockey Ridge State Park. Cyrus was very welcoming and gracious in all our conversations.
