“I was my first time in a Japanese ryokan and it was a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and courteous. They speak very little English but that is not a big problem, they go out of their way to help you and give outstanding service. The ryokan itself is very beautiful and cosy. “I was a bit worried leading up to the trip about how to get there but they had some pretty good instructions on their website. They have a free shuttle that comes to the Shuzenji station about every hour or 2 (timetable is on their site) so all you need to worry about it getting to Shuzenji station which you can figure out using Google Maps.
