“This is our second year staying at this cabin, this year being our honeymoon, and we couldn’t say enough good things about this place! If you like swimming, hiking, fishing, rock hunting or anything else outdoorsy, you’ll love this location! Such a cute cabin with the coolest history. We love having no service and just being able to take all the nature and beauty in. This year our car broke down the last day and the management was so understanding of our situation. I would recommend this place...

“We had a fantastic time, with so much to do outdoors, our 5 boys had no problem falling asleep completely exhausted at the end of the day. It’s a mix between “Glamping” and “camping” the cabin was super cute. Has a full fridge and microwave, with an outdoor grill. There’s no toilets or running water in the cabin, but the main lodge has showers and toilets and a full kitchen to use, and the cabin is like 50 feet from it. We had a blast and the kids have asked to come back here every year from now...

“Very close too the lakes and beaches”

“ Not a great experience. Very disappointing due to pictures don’t match what we got. The location on Lake Huron was the best quality. Poor maintenance on the property ”

“We had a good time during our stay here. There was a little noise from the road but the cabin is very close to US23 so that is to be expected. Cabin was laid out well, and the beds were comfy and clean. It is a rustic cabin with modern amenities and it fit the bill for our stay.Would definitely consider this location again for future trips up to the East Tawas/Oscoda area. ”

“Every time we are at Barefoot Beach we instantly relax. It is actually hard to leave! Great facilities, beautiful beach, we have fun sitting by the bonfire. Well worth staying there!”

“Very clean and cute! Owner was friendly and prompt in handling all of our concerns.Recommend to bring a fan or two in summer: the upstairs rooms were not air conditioned. Kitchen spices seemed a little old and pepper was not provided. Water pump doesnt keep up with a long shower and my teen-age daughter was taking a shower when the water stopped suddenly. After waiting a minute or so, water came back on. My husband and i did not have that isssue with our showers. Downstairs bed mattress was...
